Surfriding 2016 KittyCraft v2 build

I had 200 thousandths removed from the shoe. There is a lip on the side that I needed to keep and a 1/4" would have taken it off. It fits very nice now and I'm very happy with it. I drilled and countersunk the mounting holes on the tail plate. It needed a little trimming and I had to grind on the back of the pump and the reduction nozzle to get it to sit flush.

That's all for tonight. I have to start cooking for tomorrow.

Just check that PJS flywheel works with the dasa fw cover. My dasa cover would bottom out on the pjs flywheel. I had to use a cold fusion flywheel cover. Great flywheel though. Rips with a dasa 1000.

Really? I think this is a common combo that Taylor sells. I'll keep that in mind. I'm going to drop the motor in for mock up tomorrow.

I put the flywheel on just to check and it clears the dasa cover.

Dropped everything in to see if I need to add and inserts and it looks like I'll need to add 2. One for the tank and one for the waterbox. The one for the front of the waterbox isn't far enough forward. The way it sits right now I don't think I'll be able to use the TNT waterbox. I can't get good alignment with the stinger of the pipe. XScream waterbox looks like it's going to work pretty good though.

I'm going to try the pole pad like this. See how long it stays on before it gets ripped off or the zip tie breaks .

I sent both of my new reduction nozzles off to be bored so for the time being in going to run a old nozzle that's already bored. The nozzle was cracked where the ears are but @Yami-Rider welded it up for me. Now I have to align my pump again.

I went to bolt the xmetal trim cable holder on and it didn't fit. I had to drill the holes out and do some grinding since it's a one piece pump and it doesn't have the long pump bolt to hang from. All the heat made the anodizing fade away. Hope my trim cable length didn't change too much I didn't just ruin a $90 part

had to drill mine out but it didnt change colors.

It didn't change colors because I drilled it out. I had to grind the front piece down thinner and it got hot. The front piece usually pinches behind the bolt to the reduction nozzle and the back piece hangs on the long pump bolt. With a one piece pump i don't have that long bolt for it to hang on.

Right. I didn't have to do all that with Michelle's kitty craft.
Dvx is long pump bolts, but I used pinch style like you on Michelle's pump. Just drilled it and it fit.

I'm sure the flange on the back of the oem pump where the reduction nozzle bolts up is thicker than this stainless pump
