It was about that Friday and Saturday but I had house guests and did not get anything done on the ski till Saturday,I finished it up today but its rainy, cold and miserable, high of 57 here today, windy and overcast,kinda figures doesn't it?

Well it got to 70 degrees here today so I loaded up and headed to the lake, after running it for a few minutes I had to turn the high speed out about 1/2 turn, after that it took off like a rocket, I am very well pleased with the engine placement, it will not be worth a damn for backflipping but it rides nice and level. Honestly the water was cold as hell but I didn't want to put back on the truck, by far the most fun little ski I have ridden to date , I may have to build me one of these as well lol.

So I have been wondering what to do with the handlepole for quite a while now, I had looked at several different options, this is what I ended up with. The handle bar pad is a seriously cut down 300SX stocker. I am by no means good at metalworking so I am fairly proud of how this piece turned out. I am going to dull down the treads and then prime and paint the pole, I have something different in mind on the paint should be sweet.

Well after sanding for what seems like a week . my fingernails are now all gone, my fingertips are bleeding , I have no fingerprints and this morning I had enough, time to shoot some paint, bottom is done and considering how it looked before it turned out nicely.I am using Kirker urethane single stage on the bottom and Kirker Spectra series on the sides and top,I will hopefully get the silver base on tomorrow.

More pics, ski is mounted up in the finest redneck engineered rotisserie this side of the Mississippi, quicksilver base has been sprayed on the bottom, handlepole cover has been sprayed, sanded and cleared, tomorrow I spray the top and add some color .

Its not quite finished as I still have to paint the hood and handlepole bracket but here are the pics as it sits now. Sunday we were having his birthday party at Wind Creek state park and I had to have it back together to present to him there. Anyway I rattle canned the hood and handlepole bracket black and put it back together for him. Me and Crammit 442 spent the better part of 6 hrs Saturday night turfing the beast and I spent most of Sunday morning putting it back together. I think the turf came out great and many thanks to Charles for the help, he is a turf God . I couldn't have done it without you bro! :wavey:

Nope its the side yard where most of my personal projects are kept, I think you will notice the go-cart, the x2 on the ground , the wave venture, the 550 with the pole sticking up, the GS, the Sea Couch and the 300SX, all mine, the only customer boat in that pic is the WRlll.
