650 Yamaha in a 650sx?

the difference between both skis could be as simple as impeller pitch.

Yeah it's totally pointless to argue over which boat is better, totally different machines, pumps, impeller, etc.
I should have never gotten involved in this one, it's just too funny to sit back and watch.
:Banane19:
All said, I know for sure the 650SJ engine goes better than a stock 650 engine in the X2, I've had it in there. I rode maybe 3-4 tanks of gas through my hull with the 650SJ engine in it. It was way better than the STOCK Kawasaki 650. However, I have to say the SJ engine ran WAY better in my SJ than my X2, because of the impeller pitch. If it were propped right, might have been better. I pulled the 650SJ out as fast as I would have a stock 650 Kawasaki for what it's worth. The only reason I put the 650SJ in it was to make sure I could do it, and get it ready to take a 701+ engine.

I say 650s and 701s are for kids.

Some of us actually like to ride our skis and have skis that do actually run,and then well there are people like you who spend all season trying to get there skis running and watching other people ride,I personally would rather be riding on a 650 or 701 than watching from the shore with a broken ski,

Just drove my truck accross the lake yesterday :loser: and I have one running ski but dont have a chainsaw long enough to get through the ice. But keep it up, your Epenis is impressing others. If you would just put the above statement in your signature you wouldn't have to always use it as a comeback to drag things totally off topic. I ride every 'season' april-october.
Nuff said.
If you are just arguing to argue, we can stop, if you actually think the kawi 650 motor is that much better, go to the other site and claim your throne in the vintage section.

You know what Nube ,you are right, this was supposed to be a freestyle -freeride site, but in reality what it actually has turned into is a Superjet circlejerk,I don't own a Superjet and truefully I don't care to,yall have fun,Nube you can be the pivot man,I have better things to do

Nube, "better" being in the terms of what exactly you're wanting it to do, is what it boils down to. if you're working with a 650 and only a 650, and you're trying to get it to perform one way or the other, the kawi has more low-end torque capabilities because of it's stroke. the yamaha has a shorter stroke, so it's a top-end motor, comparatively. both engines can be made to excel at either end of the powerband, but one is better than the other at either.

Seek advice at PWCT #1 you will probably get a straight answer and correct information and #2 I hear tell this site is for Superjet riders only

Yes you will need a specific manifold to put a SBN 44 onto your Kawasaki 650 engine. As far as jets go, I don't know.

i used to have two 650 sx's, one was coffmans piped, aftermarket head and the blue keihin carb. ski would do 43 all day. got up there slow as hell. Like charlie said, It was the coolest ski ever till i realized there were much better rides out there. Did it run? yes. Was it reliable? Yes.

my buddy had a 650 square with protec pipe and prop and a bad stator. it would eat the 650sx for lunch both up top and down low.

even my 750 kawi sx, factory piped/waterboxed, 9/17 prop, timing advance, lightweight flywheel, and wet wolf cone would barely beat the 650sj up top. It did have more bottom though.

thats my real world example. take it for what its worth.

btw im just comparing a straight line drag race because the 650sx handles like garbage. a non tubbied 750sx wasnt all that much better in the turns either.

so... is terry is retreating back to pwct because he realizes that the x has many riders that arent all about getting hopeless 80's hoopties running for $100 or less?

My question is this, I wonder if these posts have helped or hindered the guy who started this thread???

Helped, hindered and amused me actually. Ironically Wavedemon's post was the most helpful , I need to get off my a$$ about getting my superjet motor back together so I can actually ride, and stop this building nonsense.

Thats why my HX Project is now for sale. As is my Yamaha 650 Motor. (for some reason, I just dont want to get rid of that 650sx body yet)

I had a lightly modified 650 X2 and a friend had a stock 650 Square. The X2 would beat the SJ out of the hole and on top end all day.

I think a lot of people on here are making unfair comparissons. I for one am a Kawie X2 fan. But I will be the first to say I would like to have a lamey or other Yamaha based engine in my X2. From my real world experiences with Kaw 6500 SX/X2's and Yamaha SN SJ 650's there is not realy much difference. They are both weak in my opinion, plain and simple. I just don't see how 650 SJ are that much more dominate because the super clean stocker I had experience on wasn't "all that." I did have my eyes opened up to Yamaha 701 RN SJ potential when I lived in Alabama last year. But even one fo the RN SJ guys would talk about how he knew someoen who had a SN that was pretty weak. Liek I said before, they are all 650's... Time to up the displacement a little or stick to being underpowered.

No actually I realized this site isn't about riding skis at all,its about Superjet worship,Superjet modification,Superjet bed sheets,Superjet underwear,Superjet slipper socks etc, since I am not into that sort of thing I am taking a break from the BS here,Waterhawk is here so there will be plenty of BS to go around, don't you worry none.:nana:

The usual suspects arguing the same rediculous concepts.

Give it a rest already, no one is going to convince anyone of anything, it's an Internet forum.

It's a Freestyle/Freeride site first. Maybe that's why it's a Superjet circle jerk. Because it's about Freestyle/Freeride.
Eh? Ever think of that?

Ride what you want.
