Zack was right... Mounts on the FW cover are for a strap to hold the tank tight to the FW cover... I will also glass 2 inserts on either side of the tank to hold it on both sides to the hull... Pics to follow on that

Josh

3 month wait during our summer isn't bad... Right now we are waiting for parts on another motor..... Hard to beat Thrust for customer service, best company I have done business with....

Oh I see - assume you put some turf between the tank and flywheel cover to avoid it rubbing?

Yes I will put some turf on the tank, I also put some turf on the power factor water box, and I always turf my battery.

When I install the power factor pipe I will make some support blocks out of 25 mil foam, also might glass 2 more inserts for the power factor pipe since I'm going to be riding it in the surf. It's very important that the PFP have support and stays tight to keep the coupler (rubber) from failing.

Today ...

Will install pole, steering, everything up top, remove turf from tray so I can install some 25 mil pad in the right area's , new black turf going down. The stock RRP turf is like riding on ice, no grip IMO ... Will finish the ebox up...

So Thursday will be install pipe, ebox, run water and fuel lines and it's done... More pics and details to come as i build it

Here's a pic with the pole installed... red billet pole, Blk carbon colored Thrust tubes, carbon / white RRP chin pad, red grips to keep the color matching...

Very nice, ah to be able to pick exactly what you want for a build...the stuff that dreams are made of!

Not to hijack, but thought I would show you what I did with the tank/hooks/strap...another way to do it anyway...

Nice setup right there, love the Dasa 1100... I'm building another billet Dasa motor , just waiting on some parts...

Illhave to see how everything fits on the tank, I'm going with a 3 gal jazz tank so I can ride 30 - 40 min of surf before coming in.

I really do enjoy building skis... Thanks guys for all the props

I want to finish this ski today, but think tomorrow is going to be the day... I'm going to have to fire myself if I don't put a few hrs in at the shop..

Got the Ebox almost done today. Just have a few grounds to hook up, zip tie everything up, fire the motor up and then seal the lid on the ebox... Alot of stuff inside that small box!

Brian at Thrust made this package come together.... He's been send me stuff all week , last package arrives tomorrow with the last parts to complete the puzzle...

I'm no expert, but isn't there a susposed to be a certain distance between the coils and brain on the MSD setup? I see a lot of guys running them right next to each other.... and a lot of guys b!tching about dead brains.

Either way, that's a slick setup

It won't cause a dead brain, but it could cause interference. I've never had it happen. If you use resistor plugs and good wires, it shouldn't be a problem.

Thinking that was more of an issue with the older systems.

A buddy of mine bought one of Tera Laho's Pro Mod Superjets years ago. It was setup and built by one of the best in the business. Brain and Coils were mounted on the bulkhead on a plate.

I have been running MSD TL pro digital systems for the last 3-4 yrs, always had coils mounted next to he msd unit... Should be fine... This little motor is gonna hit nicely with the power factor, race gas, and TL...
