Custom/Hybrid Backi-Chan build

Went out today went for ten min and it just died. Like I pulled the lanyard. No spark. UN plugged the black white at the ebox. Swapped cdi's. Still no spark. I just put in a oem kawi coil two months ago. When I ohm the black and orange from the coil it says 00 ohms? This normal? Freakin lame. 60s no wind rest of the week and snow on Monday.

Yeah that's normal. Very little resistance in the primary.

Pull the flywheel cover and check for debris.

check the start/stop switch, be careful, they can ohm out fine but still have an issue. I chased a similar problem, ski would just shut off at trandom times. You can also turn your idle way down and disconnect the black and white leads of the s/s, you can't shut the ski off when you do this but that is why you turn the idle down...just another way to trouble shoot it.

guess i missed that, just trying to help. Maybe he disconnected the wires but forgot to plug the lanyard in when checking spark??...i dunno...only a couple things can cut the motor out like that

I will take the stator cover off. I'm hoping the screws came lose or something and it's an easy fix. Prob not though haha. One plus to a cart tank is it is easy to remove!

The lanyard function is disabled when disconnecting black & white.

After swapping everything in the ebox out I tested the stator....

White/red and ground = 2 volts when cranking

Brown/white and black gave out 4 volts

So I had a new 61x stator and used flywheel threw it in and spark.

So anyone running an x stator with an hx3 epic. ? How do I set the timing with a timing light?
