Please do. I sent Mr Vascoe (Ballistic president) a link to this. I hope he chimes in and can clear this up.

What a joke. It seems like if you are selling something thats high dollar you would definitely work with your customers to make sure they are fully satisfied with the product. Even if it wasn't meant for the application, it should have still lasted longer than two runs.

And it didn't quit while in the ski - it worked fine.
It broke sitting on my bench for a week.

Also put it on facebook.

I just took a look at thier warranty section on their website. Number four made me laugh.

"Because the battery is very light, Ballistic is not liable for papers that blow away when the battery is used as a paper-weight"

What good is a battery that can't be used in a jetski for it's intended use, can't handle proper charging maintenance and is not advised to even be used to hold down papers?!!!! They leave you with no choice... The only other option that's left is to throw at someone

My home away from home.
Well... I had decided to pick up one a while back and after prior reads, definitely not happening. Not just saying this to stir it up, or bash, just saying it makes no sense at all to even get one til the company gets these issues resolved. There's a few racers between me and Reno that have been watching this and also are backing out.

Hopefully they will do the right thing and stand behind their products. If not, hopefully threads like this will save as many pwc riders the financial loss and grief ahead of time.

Honesty goes a long ways.... I know it's an old saying, but Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.

Ya Matt, don't get any bright ideas an try an use your paper weight, as a paper weight.lol It's really not funny, just hard to fathom a company even posting such ridiculous remarks on there "Industry leading 3 year warranty". Speechless

Living the dream.
I wont be doing any business with them. Recently I've been thinking about buying two batteries from them.(considering running my bilge pumps on their own battery) I hate that this happened to you Matt. I guess that paying a premium price doesn't guarantee a premium product OR service. Looks like I'll be reconsidering the Shorai option.

Moto... you still running a Shorai? How's it holding up?

I need one! Ill take you up on there offer!
So let me know matt if that offer still stands

I'm not taking that "offer". Besides, do you really want to pay that kind of money for a battery that will likely fail and not be warrantied?

The shorai I got from Matt last year, I used all last season with MSD total loss, still works great. In fact I recently sold it to a friend running it in an 1100 X2. But to answer your question, yup still works, with total loss.

yeah last year i got a couple of those batteries, one for me and a couple for my shop. Well two weeks after i got them i had a issue with the one i put in my ski, so i called them up, and mind you im a dealer for them so i was thinking oh they will take care of me, hell no they told me they have never had issues with there batteries and i must of abused it. So i sent them the battery so they could see it in person. After they inspected it the conclusion was i over tightened the positive terminal. Not sure how that made the battery die and not turn my ski over, but either way they would not do anything for me. The other two batteries we got we tried them in other skis, they all died within six months. My conclusion, there batteries suck and there costumer service is worse. Sorry for being so honest if anyone is offended but that is the way they were to me.

Be careful, that would void the warranty...
