That is the ballistics 12 pack right??
my Shorai battery I have used 3 times so far with a XS1000 motor, MSD TL, 215psi compression, etc...it has been fine, no excessive starting though. Not sure how long it will last b4 it takes a crap, but we'll see. I ran 4.7 gallons of gas through it on my last ride. I still plan on going to a ETX14 Deka so mine might be for sale soon!...along with the charger. this battery has 270cca and is recommended for the sj on the Shorai website.
I had the ski running most of the time...no excessive starting. I am nervous that if I suck some water creating a harder start it will not have enough juice to start. This makes me nervous for 2 reasons: 1) I ride in lake MI far away from shore (have to ride through a harbor) and 2) my ski takes on a lot of water. Maybe a larger one would make me feel better? Why would you switch if its works fine and is lighter?

How/why is your ski taking on so much water? Mine is pretty dry.
Finally took the rev out with the shorai I got from Matt_E, two and a half tanks through it, no problem starting it after I pulled it outta the water. Killed it plenty of times as I was attempting flips, but between the new kart tank an the tiny battery, the nose just wants to point up. So IMO, the shorai I got works flawlessly, it wasn't even at 100% when I left today either. Threw the charger on for maybe 5 min, buddy showed up an it was still charging and said screw it. Still going strong. Thanks Matt!!
