Best Li-Fe battery I have seen so far

I've been using mine for a while now. I will say that the 14amp/hr equivalent isn't really accurate. I'd say around 7-8amp/hr would be closer to realistic. Very similar to a Deka EXT9 battery. My old 16amp/hr lead acid battery could last 2-3 days without a single worry and I would typically burn close to 10 gallons of gas while running a 800gph bilge pump the entire time I rode. Although I haven't actually killed this battery under any normal conditions... I will say that I will drain the battery voltage below the 50% mark with 3 gallons of gas and only turning on the bilge pump when I need it. I have killed the battery but that's when I ran out of gas and tried cranking a whole bunch of times just to get that last drop of fuel out of the tank instead of swimming. Plus I had to run the bilge pump for 30-45 minutes while I was swimming because my ski takes on water.

Bumping this thread for new info... My Shorai battery is dead. Charged it up the other day without a problem and now it won't take a charge and shows about 9.4v (so dead). I just contacted Shorai about a warranty claim. Hopefully they'll do me right but after reading the warranty stipulations, it looks like they can weasel their way out of just about anything.

hey waternut are you using the shoria charger? if so you need to ditch it and charge your shoria with a battery tender to bring it back up before the shoria will charge it. A couple guys have had this "problem' and its a simplle fix.
