Well between the girlfriend coming back in town, having to do court ordered community service, and running out of glass I havnt gotten as much done as I had hoped.

I have the pump cavity glassed in, one layer of 17oz biax and four layers of 7 oz eglass on the inside of the hull and one layer of 17oz bx and two layers of eglass on the outside down the chine. I spent a lot more effort this time around working with the heat gun, getting the resin real thin and getting air bubbles out, as well as squeegie all the excess resin out. I hope it results in a good outcome.

I'm hoping I will have time tonight to flip the hull and start working on trimming up the new bulkhead and perhaps installing cooling lines.

Cool on the new hull Sir! When are you doing it? I would love to christen it for you, but I can't do it online (you saw what happened to Fox's here, with only an online "pre-christening", lol)! That champagne bottle MUST break, or I can pin prick my finger for blood... either way. Only, you have to get the ski to me, or visa versa! That fine lady of yours will need to do it is my guess! BTW, tell her that baby need Florida sunshine to properly metabolize vitamin D (and that there is a nice spa treatment in it for her, lol)! okey: Tona just won't seem the same without you to many of us! :sadwavey:

na, 650/750 mounts arnt the same, 550 mounts are cockeye'ed in the hull at 35* angles, whereas 650s mount parallel to the hull. I found one extra one, so now I just need one more.


Chris I may have to take you up on that, as I have a feeling this ski will be breaking a lot of motor mounts when its up and running.


Still looking for a 750sx or similar throttle cable. A yami one will work as well.



In other news the bulkhead is mounted, I'm about to go glue in it. I'm tired, I'm losing focus on this build. I may or may not get the PVC driveshaft tube in as well tonight...


Or I may take a nap.

Suzy, thats a superjet rideplate. I dont have a superjet anymore. So I wont be needing it for this boat. I will be selling it.

I hope it will be ready for daytona. Im about to glass in the footholds now.

I'm hoping my 9/17 hooker impeller will be here today.

And now I'm sick. I hope I make it to daytona. Been busy as hell this week. I did the last part of glass... I'm going to press on hard to get the cooling lines, trim tube and footholds in tonight.

Updated my lighting and work bench a bit ealier today... Footholds are now glued in. I'll be taking screws out tomorrow. Foam and final glass will hopefully be finished by tomorrow night. Impros shipped out my 9/17 with 6mm cutback(!) on monday, I was hoping to have it today but perhaps monday will bring fortune.

I do find myself getting somewhat sloppy and haphazard with this. I just want it done. Tom... where mah tubbies at daawg?
