SXI cases work on an SXR (I have them on mine)...however, there are some parts on the SXR cases that are solid that are hollow on the SXI cases.

SX Cases do not work on big pin cranks... (I made a set work but had to dig out the curved area) Is that trenching?

I think you are describing trenching, which is making clearance for the big end of the rod.

What does that do...look cool, is that for porting??? strength???
its to match the dasa cylinder.

the goop is for strength and sealing.

showing stock cases next to the pic will show how much has been removed.

hey, steve... i think youre going to have to start building some kawi freestyle engines.

the cases are epoxy filled , decked and then cnc machined to match the bottom transfer area of the Dasa cylinder. By opening the cases up like that, you are increasing the case volume and feading the huge transfer's of the billet lamey cylinders.

many engine builders would never post their secrets but then again , this is not "Classified info" and we are a big sharing community here on the X!:wall:

well atleast the wording of none have been released to the general public would indicate to me that there are some floating around out there. Let us know when they are available.

There are some out there, but only for development proposes.

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound so 007, it is just that we want to make sure they work well before we release them and that there aren't any issues.

I am starting them as soon as the machine I planned on using for the first operation opens up. I have been building up our machined parts stock to prepare for the long run of cylinders. The initial run of Kawis almost doubles our normal production run, so the machines will be busy for some time.

I have to make sure I don't run into a backorder situation for our other machined parts.

I promise it will be soon, probably as soon as the first of next week we will be close to ship the first cylinders.

Please call the shop and let Kyle know you are interested and we will be sure to get you one.

We are working on stoker cranks for the Kawi so it would also help for people who are interested to let us know, that way we can plan to have parts in stock for you.
