Custom/Hybrid BOB G3 Kevlar NY build

Ok ... So mat and I worked on our bobs some today... I'll let him update his stuff on his thread ... I got my ATP intake grate installed .. Kind of ended up being a pain .. The front of the grate had to have the corners and bottom edges ground down to fit flat into the space on the hull .. Also the front 2 inserts were set deeper into the hull than the supplied bolts would work with so back to value home center for more bolts ... All they had were ones that were too long so I had to cut them down to the correct size ... After all the bull crap it's finally in ....

I also got the motor set in and started to get it shimed up ... If anyone knows someone that is about 3 inches tall that can get in there to see the couplers send them my way ... Holy no room !!...

Crap... I just ordered the ATP grate to go in my new BOB Gen3 (hull should be shipped next week). You didn't happen to snap any pics of your grinding job before you installed it did you? Do you recall the length you cut the mounting bolts to?

Thanks,
Bill

Check this out... It's a fiber optics camera with a light on the tip... the kind that SWAT teams use to look under a door into a room before breaching it.

I didn't take pics ..sorry .. I had to grind only the front part of the grate on the sides .. Round off the bottom of it so the grate sits flush with the bottom of the hull .... As far as the bolts go all I had access to we're m6 - 100 -30.... I think if you can find m6-100-25 they would be perfect ...

Lookin good! We've built 4 Gen 2's, a Gen 3 and working on my Hurricane so if you have any questions shoot me a text at 262-689-4063. We here at Powerhouse have also built a Badass,Circus, Q8, and multiple SXR race boats and Superjets. Zack is a genius and makes magic with skis! And when your ready for some arm ripping power we can get ya flipping with a PHP billet 898;)

Ok ... Got some work done this weekend ... It's tough to work on my ski and watch my 1 year old at the same time ... She is a pretty good mechanic but she tends to loose parts and tools ... I got my motor bolted up and shimed so that my coupler clearance is where I think it should be..

I also got my ebox mount mounted to my hull so that I could mock up my ebox... Then I put my ebox and electronics all together and mounted it to the ski ... I got my water lines from the hull/pump ran to the bottom of my exhaust mani ... Also ran my power to my starter and negative battery cable from my starter.. Installed the rubber bumper in my couplers and slid motor back into position ready to be bolted down .... My helper kind of ran out of patience at this point so the day was done

Dude props to you for trying to work with a little one running a muck! I just wait for my little duo (2.5y/o girl and 18mo boy) to take a nap. Gives me about 4 hours total per weekend lol...

Looking good keep it up!

Thanks man ... It's very hard ... She's a daredevil too so she is always trying to climb everything ... At only 14 months she is going to be a handful when she's older ..

I've made so many trips to my local value home center and their stainless nut and bolt section I'm starting to get funny looks

I know the feeling...

One day I am in there nice and clean + good mood

Next day...dirty as all get out, not happy, and of course they are outta the bolts that I needed cause I have been raiding them for weeks!

Nice build
