I sandblasted mine, it's much easier than sanding and I only did the wear ring, reduction and steering nozzle, the stock paint on the pump is the best base for paint so I left it alone.

No he will not!
I'm glad you're doing a detailed build of your Matrix, I know I won't take the time for something like this when I get mine.....it will be slammin gears and booty haulin to get it in the water :burnout:

This thread has been a good read from the start :bump:

Thanks Parr, once the hull gets here it will be a different story though.

I build my last ski in 16 hours flat and didn't get a lot of pics while it was going together, not that there's much to see anyways but it's nice to see it in between stages.

The extra time I've had to think and prepare has resulted in some very nice little touches like the painted pump, ceramic coated pipe, black RRP tubes and clean white tank, would have normally been overlooked and then never happened and so the wait has actually worked out to my advantage. I have a few more tricks up my sleeve that I am putting the finishing touches on this weekend before I do a full reveal but overall I am pretty happy with the way this build is going. Bobby is making headway now that a few other skis are completed and he can focus on mine and I expect a promising update later this week.

In the end, the juice will definately be worth the squeeze. :bigok:

For those of you who don't remember my last build, it started something like this on friday night...

The chamber changed from a std aluminum one to a c/f one.

Yes, somewhere in that 16 hours, the chamber and a couple more parts like the TBM flywheel were swapped off my old ski and into the new one. :sneaky:

There are orange fuel lines pictured too but they were swapped out within the first week just to tone it down a bit. I just didn't happen to have an original pic avail.

6500 views and I don't even have a hull yet to go with my build thread...nice!

Luckily my wife's ski has needed some TLC and I have been able to keep my wrenchin skills honed. Maybe need to go for a ride this weekend to keep my mind off it though... :brap:
