I think any year will work, you need pretty much everything from the reduction nozzle back so reduction nozzle, trim ring, steering nozzle and all the hardware that holds it together. OR you can get bosses welded on your stock reduction nozzle and drill and tap those to accept the hardware for the trim ring.

I picked up a Raider last night. The Vin reads 96....its a 61x motor, single carb 44. Its got the trim ring.

Does a raider pump and wear-ring work in a SJ??????? Im sure I could search. But If anyone has a quick answer thanks....or I will find out tonight when I tear it all apart and junk the hull.

Looks like the wear ring/housing is different but the stator area ('impeller duct') is the same PN. I looked on bikebandit.com....

Remember fellas, the shape of the reduction nozzle on a raider is different, and is more suited for a runabout. At the very least, it should be bored out to 85mm. Welding boss' on the superjet nozzle is the best way to go, because you keep the shape of the ski-based reduction nozzle, and you can place the trim ring about 0.75" father back than the raider nozzle for more steeing and trim throw.

I'm half tempted to buy up a bunch of these things and start selling kits for $300.

Ya, I know. I picked up a new Pro-tec steering nozzle for $50 and a new Raider trim ring was $36. Next I'm welding on some bungs onto the stock reduction nozzle and I'll be done with that part. Add a cable and lever and its done. I'll have a bit over $150 into it when done I'm sure, but that's way less than $500.

Anyone know how long the cable needs to be for installation on a SN Superjet?

Went to the local bike shop and they looked up cables. Longest one was 3500mm (11.5 feet), and the next smaller one was 2750mm (9 feet). Will either of these work? Do I need to look for something else?

Here's what I did. I moved the pivot point back 1/2 inch by welding some bosses on and tapping new holes. I also welded a boss onto the reduction nozzle to hook the cable to. I got this idea by doing the same to a Pro-Tec nozzle before. However the pro-tec jobbies have a bad tendancy to cavitate.

I went to the Riva site and found the stock trim ring for a 94 Raider. I took that part number to my local dealer and they said it updated. Just got the part in my hand and it will work perfectly. Nice aluminum ring that bolts right up to my steering nozzle. If anyone wants, I'll dig up that part number.

Now for the question:

Will one of the many aftermarket finger throttles work for the trim lever? Just wondering if you'd be able to pull that little lever under power.

No lever will make it 'easy' to pull under load - it's just the nature of the beast. The biggest concern you should have with a lever is the amount of cable travel it provides. Look for one with 1-1/2" of cable travel if possible.
