Originally a 701 with a limited set up. Apparently Derrick Sr flipped it with that seething up. It was then put into a gen 2 carbon and there's videos of It flipping on youtube.

Question for ya...is there a reason you chose to put the bilge outlet where you did? Seems like it would just dump into the tray and make it really slippery.
I just ask cause I am building a 300sx and was thinking about putting mine up that high but off to the left side. Thanks!

No one reason in particular. The PO was running it there, I didn't want another fitting on the port side and didn't want to run the hose across to starboard, and it seemed to work fine before. Also thankfully the ski doesn't get a lot of water in it.

if you get the 45 degree bilge outlets , it pisses over the side. my superstock round nose pissed into the tray and i wondered why my feet kept coming out of the holds. had a fuel leak in the return line and had slippery gas pissing into the tray.

yea, but it took a while to figure out. i missed a bunch of action. i was putting sand in the tray for traction. it was BS. go ahead and leak gas , but dont make my feet slip out!

Really no need for a bilge pump in the BOB,they don't take on a lot of water and the Versi Plug max evacuates any water intrusion quickly. I'd cap it and be done

I sunk that Bob at torch lake ride because I didn't have a bilge pump .. just saying

The reason it took on water when you had it was because your trim tube wasn't sealed. It just let water right in. Not to mention a couple of cracks found that may have been the culprit. The hull is solid as a rock now and should be sealed pretty well.

Ain't the first BOB (or other hull) to sink. Proper installation can work miracles for things that are supposed to float

Would you take something out on the street you just spent a lot of money on and not have any insurance?
He has quite a few bucks into this ski.
Bilge pump is just good insurance. I'd say keep it!

I always like to run at least a single bilge. Cheap and easy to install. Peace of mind.

when you run a total loss, you better be aware of every voltage draining start and a bilge means less ride time and the possibility of being stranded.

No it was because I didn't have a expensive dual breather bracket so the holes were slightly exposed around the bracket.
