been trying to get my dialed in with nooo luck for 2 weeks now!!??
61 x MOD 46mm carb...no venturi
coff pipe
MSD enhancer / coil
fiber reeds
velocity stack
120 low
130 high
cannot find what the turns out should be...i set the low at best idle...should i go a lil bit in on that even though it wont idle best...?
at 1/4 throttle it blubbers??? so low jet is to big right?
its fine if i go full throttle and pulls hard...130 is the main jet

if im just moving and chilling around its horrible??

gonna try 115 on low tomorrow.....2 weeks of trial and error is killin the FUN of my ski totally!!!

This is the greatest thread ever! I took an engine that I've never run and slapped some carbs on. My only technical assistance was based on the jetting from this thread and was able to tune my ski in about 5 minutes. I was fearing days of frustration and jet swapping.

I can't find anybody running DUAL POWERBOMBS.

Any tip is welcome snce I was familiar with Full Spectrums instead of this.

Thanks

Does anyone have a good baseline set up for me?
62t bottom end 61x topend, riva girdled head 35cc domes, stock porting, riva drypipe, and twin oem 38s with k&n flame arresters, and dual stage carbon fiber reeds, unsure on brand. I currently have 130 mains and 70 pilots, and 1.5 needle and seats.

but i got a couple hours a tuning in today with.
heres my semtums=
1. the throttle response seems to be pretty darn good up tell about 3 or 4k(wish i had a tiny tach it would prob help) its just real gragally and motor runs rough but has always idled rough ext.
2. low and high screw out three turn seem to be getting closer
3. and a wot throttle test i cant get there it wont let me the rpms stay consistant but it sounds like its a hell of a missfire thats some(GRUGGLY)
4. once i opened up to the three turn if i worked in to the gas progressivly after the power band it will continue to go and eventually hit another power band(only felt it once but then i lost control and wipped it)
5. if u cruise around at slow enough to renmain stable on my knees for how ever long i can nail the gas and its does exactly like number 1.
6. i know my pop off is set at 22 cause i raised it from 11 when i rebuilt the carbs and it would eventually load up before the carbs and hit a lean spot on wot throttle test.

my septup is as follows

superjet
mukuni 44 mm buckshot carbs
pilot 110 goes to finger discharge
main 130
needle and seat 2.3 and 22 psi pop off

ski= 62t case/61x cly with free ride port.
bored .75 over pushing 190-195
riva racing intake mani with no cross tube, boyseen dual stage reeds(not stock cages?)
msd enhancer and msd coil, factory b pipe with raider chamber, strightpiped .
blowsion air forced air filters with some prefilters
each carb has its own fuel pick up and filter
and from my current jet sizes i have switched from 93 to 100ll aviation fuel. it was running on 93 before i got my parts ski but i up compression and added port work

HELP please. i will have main and pilot size tomarrow once i open them up

I got twin 38s on my sj ported motor, b pipe, Riva head with 175 psi. I recently bought this ski and it has 80 and 145 jets and hasn't run right since purchased. Are these jets too high?? Someone told me to go back to 137 and 77 . Any advice?? I will be checkin pop off soon

My advice: Go through every post in this thread and find a setup similar to yours.
IMO your jets are too fat.

Hi everyone,

I've searched like a crazy person, but so far I did not find the answer I'm looking for. So please excuse me if Im asking on the wrong place (I'm a stupid Swede, I dont know better). =)

I ride a 61x/62t with Watcon Sleeves #1820 84mm, with mild case porting, ADA head w/ 33cc domes, Factory Limited pipe, MSD Enhancer, K&N flame arrestors and stock Mikuni SBN 38's.

I ride at sea level and on 98octane fuel. Mostly freeride. However, i've been having some trouble to get the jetting right even after ALOT of testing. I know there are very much knowleauge about these engines out there, and my question is; Do you guys think I need bigger carbs, or do I just need to get the jetting in the 38's right?

I think those carbs should work fine.
Jetting should be somewhere around 1.5 N&S, 95g spring, 75 pilots, 135 mains.

Thank you Matt, very helpful!

It's been a few months since I took it for a ride, and last time I had 1.5N&S and 95g spring and 72.5 pilots (cant remember the mains). Back then it was lean on low speed so I changed to a popoff on 35psi and to 75 pilots. And when took it for a test ride today it was rich as hell... Did'nt think about the temperature difference those months made.. From 32degrees to 80degrees makes a big difference in jetting...

Thank you for reminding me about that, even without saying it. =)

Just wondering if anyone had any specs for the dual 44 BlackJacks? I just had Art do mine and they seem way to rich.
