Thats about where my mom and step dad are at, they used to own a great huge interior wood shutter company in philadelphia. But what do you know the chinese took over and the competion was so hard to keep up with. They are probably moving down here because you have no reason to be depressed when you can walk out side and go swimming or go to the beach and drink a couple beers down there. I like it alot, the only reason I would move would be like North Carolina or California. But for now, I think Florida is where I belong lol. Born and Raised.

Hell, I work at a golf coarse and I get free golf any day (I work 3 days a week full time 40 hours at 25$ an hour) Nothing real special but I am happy. So that leaves me 4 days a week to do what ever I want to do, jet ski, golf, mudding (atv's), fishing. You name it were doing it on the days off. Yeah we have to flush our ski's out after every ride down here, and it is flat right now... till hurricane season but we go on mangrove trails and stuff and its just nice to cruise back in the trails its like riding a bike trail but your on water, lots of fun!

When I lived in Mobile, AL it was the same thing... ride the gulf every weekend, flat or not, ride the local small rivers and trailride on our skis. Lot's of fun... like you said, might as well at least have warmth and sunshine.

I hate snow and really miss the southern climate.

haha actually i dont really ride or surf up there that much only when its good or a bunch of people are coming to ride..where i live it rarley gets windy..i have to drive to kitesurf unless its springtime

(lol) or you could just head way south to wind protected O-side! :Banane26:

Anyone moving to FL...just ensure you are NOT inland...get that sea breeze. I opened the front door here yesterday...instantly couldn't breath...and shut the door directly. It feels like Vegas...cept it's nasty humid!

I think Cleveland's architecture is beyond interesting myself...plus everyone in the ghetto is friendly lol. Stacy and I had a blast with those peps (well I did while she had panic attacks, ha!)

Its definite not the worst place to live. I am grateful for the few wave days and a pretty decent city over all. Its just that it could have been and could still be so much better.

Ahhh! Now that's how I wanted to hear you speak of fun Cleveland Sir!

Let me see if I can help you feel a bit better about it...we've had SO MUCH rain that the solarium is flooding as I type. I just wet-vaced (sp?) three gallons of water, plus I notice it in a downstairs window to boot. It was raining completely sideways, then it began to hail... had to run outside in it and turn the back decorative fountain off that was overflowing.

Time to finally redo the back courtyard so that it drains properly, plus ensure the gutters are functioning properly.

I know Bonzi Bob doesn't wanna move here, for we had so many lightening strikes the day before yesterday that it was unbelievable! :Eyecrazy:

Where do you ride in Sandusky? I guess over on the other side of the sand bar you can find some decent wakes from the Jet Express?

i go to the sand bar and ride just outside the lanes setup for boat trafic. you can catch some awesome waves out of there. there is also plenty of beef curtains to check out on the sand bar. i've been tryin to get matt to come out for a year now, maybe he will do it this summer.

Anything to stay in this "sport"

Lets go before I sell. We need buoys. And we need a race in Cleveland.....at Edgewater....even if unofficial....

I have been wanting to ride Sandusky for a while now... I just feel like I would be lost up there... The water around C-Town I know from Lorain to Wildwood...

I need a good guide... But I am so down to ride up there this summer for sure... Maybe take the boat up there and make some waves...

dude
look at it this way .......
it could be soooooooo much worse.!!!!

what is wrong with you whiney bitches
jesus i go away for a week and everyone is selling their :):):):).
( btw i just got back from south carolina on the beach every day. flat all but one day, 95 degrees and humid. the one day of waves were maybe 2 footer.

all the days you guys whine it's flat i see 3 foot chop from the on shore winds.
flat days = carving days and cruising anyhow, is that not fun ???

there are always boats going into and out of the river .
except early in the am !!
wtf, sure not as many as the good old days but there are still some. The nice trade off is we don't have to deal with all of them anchored at the beach fighting with us.

i've been in 14 foot hell waves here with mau. ummm no fun
i've rode in water just above freezing with korn. some of the best 3 foot rollers i have ever seen with intervals that rival the pacific.
when i feel like it, my season is a good 6 months long .
most of it in fresh water, with surf pushing 3-4 feet , water temps in the 70's and no sharks or jellyfish to worry about. sounds like a good thing to me.

smurf sell your :):):):) and give me your magnum pump.
vogi ill take your wdk pole. .
me and centerline and korn will go ride the :):):):) out of what ever the lake has to offer with ray and deb.

and like korn said, the pacific is always cold
the atlantic is finicky with it's waves just like lake erie, and the golf is no better ( but way nicer to look at).

yeah cleveland is lame but it's home:Banane37:

you can have my pump for $1500.... :twak:

we're just agrevated with the weather and no one around here riding yet ray and deb have been no shows (no food) rick has been riding his quad (no chit talkin) DJ is still down but close (no filmin) weather has sucked (no beef curtains) you have been gone on vacation. its been crappy lately. LET US VENT DAM IT! :nana:

California: Ice cold water, killer waves, but nowhere to ride where you can pull up to the beach. (unless you count Mexico)

With a 4/3 the ocean water is perfect. A wetsuit protects you, so in some ways it's better to have cold water. Plenty of warm flat water around. In Pismo you launch from the beach.

California has it's cons: very expensive housing, Pismo is far from any big city with a good job market, right now the economy sucks, the govt. is a mess, too many people, smog, etc. But for outdoor sports it's hard to beat.
