In other news, the ski runs and fills the garage with the sweet smell of 2 stroke. Sounds good and snappy. I am going to check compression and decide if I should lower it or run it. @alexhockey I used the reduction nozzle, trim ring and protec turn nozzle nozzle. I got it setup so I can adj the ride trim. Like how I had it on mine. I like how it turned out so I am keeping this setup.

So remember that cheaper vinyl cap for my un used second pulse line? McMaster-Carr cancelled 3 different orders. They won't even ship to a US address close to the border. International business orders only, so after 2 weeks of cancelled orders and different addresses, they are now sending it to my business address which is the same as the first address I tried with the exception on my business name instead of my name. Wow, glad that was easy!

Why did you do away with the hood lid?

The hood lid worked great and held up good, but it sat out in the sun all summer a year ago, and I noticed it became kinda soft and did not seem to feel the same since. I think the UV rays did some damage to it. It's still here, but with the stock flame arrestors on this motor it does work. I also don't want my son to have to deal with the air intakes that I had in the tray. In short, reliability and safety for my inexperienced son was the main reason.

I got the boat numbers for the superjet and XFS done. I registered the XFS in Ontario but they gave me the same Quebec numbers as the previous owner just in my name. Maybe that's the way they do it. Seems weird but whatever. I will rock some French numbers.

That paint job actually not that bad

Thanks, Its hard to find for a good paint design for a RN hull. literally everything has been done. almost all of the new skis have awesome graphics on them. I looked at some blowsion paints and they where amazing 10 years ago on the RN but they look so dated compared to the nice new hulls. This was my attempt at a flashy cheap $100 paint job that would freshen up the ski. I am hoping to put on some white decals yet too from his sponsors......haha. MSD, Factory Pipe, Skat-Trak performance, Pro-Tec, Hydro-Turf and Dirty River Rider. Also a Yamaha SJ-F decal for the back of the hull should break up all the colors nicely. White Turf too is on the way from Robby. It should look pretty cool when done. Colm loves it. even though he is more into riding his bmx right now. I told him to buy a blowsion head with his birthday money but I think he is too cheap. Dad will buy it he is thinking.

I gotta thank Cookn for taking his time today to help me out. He machine my mid shaft so I could press it in further back. This will give me the needed spline engagement for running an oem 155 pump with a std length pre 08' superjet driveshaft. I can move the motor back on the XFS to get proper coupler gap. And he gave me an OVP steer setup for Colm's ski. I am going to have to get you some beer and silo sweaters next time I see you. I really like your shop too. Lots of cool stuff.

I fixed up my beach cart, it was really bad before and now it's only a little bit hacked. It holds the ski nice. I think I will install gussets on the legs and put on a winch or tether for the ski yet.
