I got all kinds of goodies. I put the new hood seal on and cut a new coupler for my pipe. O-rings for my Ada head, turn nozzle cable end. A few other things too.

When pressing in the mid shaft it has a step in the shaft that stops it from pressing thru any further toward the pump. There are basically 3 sizes to the shaft. The shaft o.d. The bearing seat diameter. And the seal surface diameter. Cookn moved these back 14mm so I could press the midshaft back toward the pump 14mm. Then I use a spacer in behind the coupler on the midshaft and finally slide the motor back to make the proper coupler gap.

@sneds our thinking behind the midshaft mod was it is a little easier and more reliable then a custom length driveshaft. This way it accepts the stock length shafts and there is a ton of threads on your midshaft allowing it to be spaced out. Just playing around with different ideas really.

I had to order some new wrist pin bearings because either, I ordered the wrong ones, or I got sent the wrong ones. Also the rings that I found in the basement are Yamaha 85mm rings and I have riva flat top pistons that use a thinner ring by the looks of it so I ordered the proper rings today. Winners circle is sending them out Friday I hope. No rush of course, Its winter right?

Looks like it's going to be a great setup for your son! Great to see him interested in the sport.
