I seriously doubt the cdi is adding much power. most of the gains you feel are from the 760 flywheel with the magnets busted out. getting rid of the magnet weight is going to be a very noticeable gain in snap. when I busted the magnets out of my 04sxr ten years ago, I noticed it too. I recently went from a total loss setup to and enhancer setup with a jetinetics flywheel on a tricked out 701 and basically noticed nothing to speak of. this ignition is not going to turn a turd into a beast. being programmable is great. you can add timing for throttle response and lose timing at high rpm so you don't burn your junk up.
My lightened 61x flywheel was lighter(a good bit I believe) than this 760 flywheel. So I doubt most of my gains are from that. It was a drastic increase in throttle response and power IMO.

The gain is from a decent curve. Thats where you getting it from. I’m running a stock 760 flywheel. Way better than my enhancer and stock flywheel

Anybody try the handheld programmer yet? Trying to decide between it and the normal cable. Only 13$ difference from a site in the US

Get the USB. I have both, the handheld programmer only lets the static timing go to 40 and you have to compensate buy changing the whole curve 16°.

I haven’t messed with mine yet but does that mean the 40 includes the 56 positional timing?

Defeats the purpose then

I am horrible at explaining things, especially via text. But there is some minipulation required to get the hand held programmer to do what you want it to do. At least that was the case with mine

If Im not mistaken the handheld programmer will only allow an advance offset of 40 degrees. The usb software will allow the full 56 degrees of static advance the superjet needs (to zero it so to speak). In theory you can get that 16 degrees back by advancing your whole curve 16 degrees (Kentucky windage). So on the programmer it would read 50 degrees of advance where in reality it was only 34 as an example.

I understand there are some drawbacks with accuracy or something when you run that much advance in the brain.

We talked about that before. There is no issue with acccuracy at all. If you are doing it on a single lump system then during that 56 degrees the engine rpm may change and cause inaccuracy. In this system as well as pretty much all pwc systems it’s wasted spark so ineffect it gets a reference pulse every 180 degrees not 360.

Im going to make a purchase on Billet 760 covers.... I can get them anodized for $25 extra but come billet... they are $180ea and I will ship free if pre-ordered... I have 3 of the cdi's coming in also to build a couple skis and see how they run...
Do you or anyone else have any idea if the 760 billet covers have a slimmer profile than Oem? As in are further away from touching the tank?

Wondering if this is the same thing ATP sold as the "Epic" But they tweaked it to work with 62t flywheel?

This is more a lesson in lean mixture than poor timing it would even take full throttle. but anyway listen to 3:38 where it lunches itself. I swear the guy in the back ground even says its fooked.
