DIY Total loss or MSD TL upgrade box 270USD?

The typical level of energy required to ignite the mixture in a spark-ignition engine is around 30 mJ.
The zeeltronic puts out " constant spark energy from idle to 12500RPM >55mJ"I
I could not see why you would need more at all.
It does actually look when you go off car ignition that the msd puts out 135mj, I dont know that this is the same for the pwc ignition, I would guess not as it would drain the battery to fast as they are 1.1 amp per 1000 rpm thats up to a 8 amp load on a battery at 7500
However making excess just ends up using the battery up faster. I dont know the draw on the battery for msd but the zeeltronic is 1.2 amps

I’m certainly not discounting the zeeltronics, though. I think it’s a great deal for the money, and people keep sending me flywheels to lighten every day!

How long do these systems run on average when total loss? I’m debating doing my X2 with charging intact or going total loss (750 flywheel to be zeeltronics compatible). How long/how many starts do you guys get on a typical battery?

I can run two full days of FW freestyle lake riding on a single charge of an ANtigravity 16 cell. I’d bet it could go at least another day but haven’t pushed it. I’m not restarting that often these days but at least 3-4 times per tank (2 gallon tank)

Need file help.

I was sent a curve file for the PC version but I only own the handheld programmer. I've downloaded the software onto the computer but I can't seem to open the file without connecting a programmer?

Anyone have a solution for how I can view the file without sending it to someone else to open for me.

Thanks

Mine also seems to only work if I have the programmer plugged in. It's also somewhat annoying that I have both a PCDIS-01 and a -02 which for some reason use a different application for programming, and it won't let me open curves from an 01 in the 02 app and vice versa.

I sold my PC version because I loved the hand held and it's all I used. Now I'm in need of it... or an alternative solution.

Yes the software does require the programmer to be hooked up. Hasn't bothered me too much personally as I keep my programmer close, but it would be nice to play with the software without.

I have the zeel in my 550/750 conversion and the big thing I noticed with the new version is that the .zee files on the computer, with the new version, appear encrypted.
I installed both versions side-by-side on my computer so I can keep the old for now, at least.

For example, this is the programming that came on my PDCIS-02T as ordered directly from Borut:

Code:
00:
01: PDCIS-02T <device ver>
02: 00 <boot ver>
03: 20.180816 <software ver>
04: 0000 <data ver>
05: 56 <static angle>
06: 8000 <rev limit>
07: 30 <delay comp>
08: 2 <pulse per rev>
09: 1 <ign setting nr>
0a: 18 18 32 30 18 18 18 15 15 15 15 15 <ign angle #1>
0b: 17 25 25 17 16 15 15 15 15 15 15 15 <ign angle #2>
0c: 1000 1500 3000 4500 6000 9500 10000 10500 11000 11500 12000 13000 <ign rev #1>
0d: 2000 3000 4500 7000 9000 9500 10000 10500 11000 11500 12000 13000 <ign rev #2>
0e: 10 5 <nr ign points>
0f: 0 <advance>
10: 0 <ign sw>
11: 2 <trigger mode>
12: 0 <stop sw mode>
13: 1 <latching stop>

That file opened, then saved, in the new version, and viewed in notepad becomes:

Code:
DN:PDCIS-02T
DC:433
D1:
ED:B10100000000000000300250030201B400B40040012C01B400B400B40096009600960096009600B400B40040012C01B400B400B40096009600960096009600AA00FA00FA00AA00A00096009600960096009600960096000A0F1E2D3C5F64696E7378820A0F1E2D3C5F64696E737882141E2D465A5F64696E7378820A0A050000020001

The encryption thing does kinda annoy me because I like to view and edit files often directly, I haven't found a parameter to change the encryption setting either in a file or registry yet. I believe it's forced in the software.

Try opening it with notepad on your computer. See what it looks like in regards to my last post above. If it's readable, not encrypted, you can share it here.

I clocked about 2.5 hours riding on my meter with the total loss flywheel, with quite a few starts, and was left with 12.38v on my Deka ETX16L. I am super happy with this.

I'm running a gp800 flywheel and it only produces around 8v. Stator and regulator tested good. Has anyone else used a gp800 flywheel as a charging flywheel?
