DIY Total loss or MSD TL upgrade box 270USD?

Krash reaper - Yamaha 760 stock porting
Just rebuilt my engine past winter with wiseco pistons all new gaskets. Installed zeeltronic cdi and went with TL flywheel. I swapped out the 148 solas mag pump from my waveblaster (10/16 skat)
I did not touch the jetting or carb settings as the ski ran AWESOME last season. Took out for first test ride yesterday - like a dead dog in the water.
compression 145/145 running pump gas stock head. I tried turning low speed adjusters out 1/4 turn and I tried turning out high speed 1/4 turn - both did not have any positive results. I am going to pull my carbs apart this week - I just want to know where my jetting should be with the ZEELTRONIC cdi or is it same jetting as Factory pipe recommends for bpipe?

Rode this ski all last summer with stock cdi / stock 144 pump and it was super fun. Was just trying to make it even snappier!
Thanks in advance!

I bought this zeel setup from an X member over the winter. He just had it made in the late summer 2020 and has two custom maps on it from Paul Lehr. I have the printout of the two curves - was hunting around my shop for it past two days. Couldn’t find it. I have the USB adapter for it. Honestly am not familiar with the different zeel models. This is my first time stepping outside an MSD enhancer. I have the proper N&S / jets coming today. Also for above mentioned settings - top screw closed / mid screw closed - are you referring to the b pipe screws or the carb H/L adjusters? Thanks!

99.9% certain you are talking about B pipe settings. Also this complete zeel setup was in a ski. I have the lightened 760 TL Flyhweel that he was running. I’m really hoping to get these carb settings dialed in is the issue. I also have a EMP milled higher compression stock head. If I recall around 165-170 compression with that one.

Won’t be legal in LITES if your a racer in USA because of programming input. So either IJSBA changes rule, writes an exception, or Zeel sells one without that output but with a good LITES curve

but most guys on this site don’t race

This is going in my krash reaper. Not a race ski. Just about to tear into carbs now. As far as the High speed / low speed adjustment on carbs can anyone point me in the right direction? I am running stock flame arrestor as well.

The msd is not legal in lites either as it have a 12v input.

I am pretty certain that my woodruff key has sheared. When I first installed this setup it sounded AMAZING even out of water. I have tried multiple jetting / pop off combo. 4 sets of plugs. Ever since I did the first test ride on the water this past Monday it has sounded WAY different. Almost like the timing is off now. Wont even idle - stumbles like crazy. Going to pull flywheel today after work and see what’s going on. Wax I will download your V3 curve and install on my ZEEL. Thankyou for the link! As for my H/L speed adjusters on carb I installed jetworks EZ adjusters and removed the stock ones you need flathead to adjust. The jetworks adjusters were VERY slightly different shape at the tip. I am going to post a picture of the stock high speed adjuster next to the jetworks EZ adjuster. You guys lmk if it is ok to run. I think it is okay - just a little bit different of shape at tip.

I checked my spark and both my cylinders are firing at the same time?! I checked it like 15 times to verify and even brought my mechanic over to double check my eyes were not playing tricks on me. I do not understand what would be causing this. If my flywheel key is sheared then I would think it would not run at all. Any help is greatly appreciated.
I put the carb settings to 130L/110H 2.0 N&S 95G spring low speed 1 1/2 high speed 1 1/4. I also realize those adjusters I posted that I installed are not the correct ones I pulled carbs off again and installed original adjusters for the time being.

It’s a wasted spark ignition. Both plugs fire at the same time. Totally normal.

The setting I ran last year with stock cdi was 120L/142.5H 2.0 N&S 95G spring LS 1 1/2 HS 1 1/4 and it ran damn good all summer. Put an easy 40-50 hrs on ski.
That’s drastically different jetting. With more timing you are usually able to dial it in with just low/high screw changes and maybe one jet size change. I’d go back to whatever worked last year and see how far off the fueling is.
