Custom/Hybrid EME Q8/Aerial 8/Micro/Roid discussion thread

I only rode a areal for about 20 mins with a 701 not sure what pump and it was way more stable then the micro. It felt like you could ride it all day chasing boats. You could also ride on your knees in the tray if your in a no wake. I ended up getting a micro and its hard to stand up on till you get the hang of it. I had the same problems with alignment and with the scupper. But now that its running I love it. But I'm really glad I kept my superjet for lake crusin because that's not really what the micro was made for. I still love it though lol. My micro has a 61x with ada head, pro tec db pipe, and a wet jet intake and carb. With a solas mag 140 sxr pump with trim. X-scream pole.

What are the differences in the Q8, Ariel 8, and Micro? I read through the entire discussion and never saw it.
Major differences in the three.
Q8 is more of a rec hull. You can do flatwater freestlye, head to the surf, and chase boats.
Aerial is a redesigned q8. Lots of changes that make the aerial a great flatwater ski. Without totally losing the abilities to do other things on it.
Micro is a super short flatwater ski. I haven't spent much time in the tray of one so someone else can add on to this.

Not sure which inserts you are using. Out if the three EME hulls I have had none of the factory ones have pulled out. I have the UFO mounts jet manic sells and glued them down with west systems gflex. As long as hull is prepped right they will stay.

Got the dremmel out on my carbon hull and Roughed up the surface. Might want to talk to Eric, they use some pretty tough stuff on those hooks up front.

Q8 stalker is the same as a normal q8. I had a kart tank in mine and a jaz tank. Heard of some people putting an sxr tank in them. 550 tank works too. I just sold my q8, did a lot of work to mine but i loved the finished result. Great hull.

don't put the sxr tank in! i did it even though eric told me not to. its a pain if you want to tighten you handle pole bolts or work on anything in there, i made a 3 gallon custom tank that i can take in and out with out having to take the motor out. i would say if your not making one jet a jazz or 550 tank

Get the new pole bracket! So much nicer. No bolt thru the hull.
