Eme q8 build

24-7 760 Superjet I give you big props for doing what your doing. It takes a lot of balllls to cut up an expencive pipe like that and make it do what you want. Plus when all is said and done you did it. I may make it out to the WF and hope to see your boat. Good luck and keep posting on your progress.

Weighed the ski complete, with the pipe and all the peices, msd, everything on a nice bathroom scale, Checked it 3 times came back same everytime 198.6 lbs. I weighed myself it came to 151lbs so it is dialed in. So this number should be dead on or very close.

199 lbs?

No way... besides the hull, where are all the savings!? NICE WORK!

Even that 50 lbs carbon hull of Aircraftz was like 250ish complete.

I'm wondering that myself. I'm at 267 with battery/extinguisher/a little gas and water in the bilge, and that's a small battery, super light silencer/little foam, and a 85lbs+ hull. With no hull I'd be at 182.

Hmm, lol that is what came up? Ill buy a ups stile scale to make sure we are accurate..i need one anyway. Well i just weighed the motor with carbs, fly, cover, bedplates ect -the starter it came to 76lbs. Does that sound right? The Hull with full pump and trim, pole, shaft, tank, cables, came to 93lbs. The batt is 6.6 and the alum plates to floor are 4lbs.The exhaust manifold, msd setup with all wires came to 8lbs. The chamber is 3lbs, starter is say 3lbs. Were at now 194lbs. This is matching up even at a seprate break down.?? were is this scale messin up?

I'm not sure, but with a 55lb hull I'd say you're going to be around 230 based on where I am with quite a bit of lightweight stuff. Sub 200 is kinda far-fetched to me but possible I guess.

Ya i know, i was looking at others and theres were 230-225ish.
? I dont know but im sticking with my number till i prove myself wrong.
I will buy a pro scale tho. The pump eric had them make me was so light..
I mean its the thickness of say a nickle lol, hell now that i think of it my yam scat 12v
without the prop was a tank without the prop. This one is more than half the weight
including the prop.. i think alot of the lbs savings is there, and the pole is really light 2. The rrp is like 13-14 and my old xmetal was 12. So if the bun is 8...theres 4lbs right there compared to more common poles. And the pump i just know its light, and if u sneeze on it, it will blow threw. Its a purpose built pump for sure.

Ya i did forget the grate.. but yes the midshaft, bearing housing, coupler cover, bolts and mounts were all in there, couplers were in to. Plate and bolts were in aswell. Well give me a couple of days to get a high dalla scale.

Billit procircuit perch and lever came in. I didnt have time to hook it up, but tomorrow after work is another day. Ud think for $150 bucks it would come with a bolt and nut for the lever, lol

Awesome build ! great attention to detail, I would be totally blown away if you can get her in under 200lbs all up dry! that is insane. A Scat 12V is heavy , I bet you lost alot of lbs there.

Im not going to lye im very nervous somthing is going to go wrong when i get out there.
Between needing help with full carb tuning and msd help..Hell im driving across the country
to ride this thing for the first time. Ya i deff want to c the comp, and help malone with showin this 62t based q8 off..just hope i get to ride this thing 2 its full potential. I talked to Ed brazina for awhile over the phone and he will be out there as well with all jetting, and parts..lol he wants me to get rid of the 48's and get 49s. Then toss the bun intake..lol and get the boysen..get rid of the rad duel for the tripple. Im like, we will see..? I will be taking all my tools and hope for the best. I plan on getting there tue afternoon and start figuring jet specs out.
