I am working on getting some built right now. They will be modelled after the TBM with a couple of improvments including a winch and sturdier joints.

also how much was your matrix? Did you buy just the haul and swap everything else onto it? Did it come with the RRP?

How much are you thinking the cost will be making them yourself?
Too soon to tell, just got the ball rolling on it this morning.

I bought my Matrix as a bare hull. I swapped over most of the parts, including the RRP from my Wife's tricked out 96 SJ but had the mag pump and SS865 built specifically for the project.

Price? Lets just say there's over $25k in parts and labour at this point. (and worth every penny!!!!)

if you dont mind after you have the beach carts made or have an idea of what they are going to cost you that would be great. I am planning on purchasing an enclosed trailer by the end of the month and will need a beach cart and the TBM look simple and easy to store. How much was that TBM?

I can't remember if the TBM was $499 or $599... either way it was worth the investment. It's crazy light compared to the bigfoots too.

If we do end up making some, they will be natural finish. The powder coating is flaking off on mine horribly and actually making it look far worse than if it had not been treated at all. It sure looked purdy when it was new though.

LOL Powder coat sucks. I hate the stuff and since we do it everyone always asks me to do it for them. I hate it. It chips and can even corrode under the surface.

does anyone have one they want to sell for cheap? If not i might just build one. I am looking at ordering a 6x12 Stealth Liberty Enclosed trailer next week, flat roof with the v - nose wedge. Looks pretty sweet and it isnt much more to go to a 6x12 versus a 6x10 where I live so my as well have an extra 2' to build cabinets and have a tool box in the front. I am still looking for ideas for bunks and finishing out the inside of the trailer. Needs to hold 2 for sure but would like the option to hold 4 plus then would have storage if nothing else for the beach cart.

Hey OCD Solutions,

What are you going to do different on your Beach Carts your having made then what is done with the ones that are on the market like the Bigfoot or TBM? Just curious because I am thinking of making one myself.

Thanks

Not sure how much more I can/want to disclose at this point or in this thread. We should have the first couple units ready for show in a couple weeks so you will just have to be patient.

LOL K, are you going to be selling them? If so do you have a ballpark price?

The plan is to sell them but not in any mass numbers so we'll probably only build 10 at a time and let sales dictate the build schedule from there. Ballpark price is somewhere between $400 and $500 for a basic cart. Options add-ons will include things like a removeable winch, tow bar and even a hub kit that allows the installation of ATV style aftermarket rims and tires.

Hey OCD Solutions. Do you happen to have the specs and dimensions that you used for the enclosed trailer? I am hopefully purchasing it today and was hoping that you have some type of a diagram or something because I like how yours turned out.

Nope, I just layed it out as I went. The bunks need to be 4ft long and 12 1/4" center to center and you need to be far enough apart that the rails won't rub. I can get some specific dimensions off it after work if you need.

Were you going to do the top bunk as well? If I did it again, I would do it as a shelf only with drop in bunks. The bunks are always in the way and i have only used them once, meanwhile its been used as a shelf since the very first day.

Yeah I planned to have it with the top bunks also so I can haul up to 4 if needed. That would be great if you could get me some specs on it and what you used for everything. Also any advice is always helpful :). I am wondering what is the estimated cost it took to build that?

Also, OCD - what are you using to get the skis out of your trailer and run them to the water? Is it basically like a tiger tote? Just wondering if those work great for getting them in and out of the enclose trailer or if you would recommend me to go to the BigFoot 2 Wheel instead? Hit me up if you can, planning on ordering one of the them hopefully within the next hour but just want to make sure it is the one for the best situation.

I use a TBM cart which is similar to the tiger tote but narrower, way lighter and it folds up and slides into tighter places. Unfortunately they are not made anymore and very hard to come by used.

I am working with a builder to design and produce a cart but we are in the very first stages at this point and don't have any real details to release yet other than we are working on one.
