The only thing that sucks is that you have to bust off all the little clips that hold all the wires and pipe in place when you do it... you can epoxy new ones in later though after you're finished...

You dont really have to do any of this stuff... but it is prob recommended by most riders that beat the snot out of their skis...

I imagine you will have to take your whole ski apart to do the work... it is something you will have to think long and hard about doing unless you love projects like me :)

ya, it be something I would do when I pull the motor.

Yep that would be the smart thing to do... grind all the ribs down in your hull at the same time and reinforce the sides... just do it all at one time... might take a few days. I am glad I did it all at once... now I never have to worry about it again.... hopefully :)

Did up the dual cooling today.

Also, ground down the old bilge pump exit piece that sticks out into the nozzle.

I have since filled the hole from the old bilge fitting in the picture above with JB Weld and sanded it very flush and smooth with the rest of the nozzle.... like it was never there...

so you are just going to rely on the electric bilges????

i was nervous about that incase they fail...so i left my stock bilge and inserted a third line through my hull for dual cooling plus the two attwoods

Home Depot one way is the only way, bilges never (almost) have to pump.:purr:

Thats a fine setup. I purchased a XFT 3" Monster Valve scupper which I am going to install soon. I like the scuppers and one ways and will keep my 500gph rule bilge, but like crab said... my bilge prob will not be running a whole lot.

didnt know you were going to install a scupper.... that makes sense now...

probably wont be needing those bilges much

why did you install footholds first though?

wouldnt it have been easier to install the scupper while the holes for the footholds were open?

Here are some turf pics Mike...

Ski is a bit dusty from all the sanding I have been doing on that Wammer hood so it looks a little dirty...

on the rail down how'd you get your turf there with no seams or cuts
ive always had to cut
you heat it up and bend it around??
thanks looks good
Nice scupper too

Thank you. Mostly I followed the turfing without seams thread in the FAQ section... but also put my own spin on it as I went... I did use a little heat to help

yep. Thats what I did. Also, replace razor blades very often... will help make clean lines... I read that on here and was told that by some people as well and those people were right-on with that advice.

Looks great! did you had a little extra grey padding in the top and bottom of the footholds?
