put some in the bottom. None on the top.

I plan to put some pad on my shoes if my feet start hurting, but I will have wrestling shoes with high tops and neoprene socks

you can also just add an extra piece of turf and wrap it aroundthe footholds , similar to Pancake's boat

Awsome turf job Eric!!! Mine didn't turn out nowhere as nice as yours. I didn't put any padding inside the footholds either. I wear old running shoes so there is already padding on the top and bottom of the shoe. Again, nice job.

I am... got the WDK hood in case the Wammer hood didnt work out...

After I get the Wammer hood painted I will see which one I like better.

After really checking out the WDK hood I dont know which I will run full time... the WDK hood is actually really nice looking once I wetsanded w/ 1500 grit and buffed it up! The handholds are pretty nice too...

Lil tip if you didn't find out already, with the shortened bracket. Install the nosepiece first, and mount the bracket to the pole before bolting the bracket down. The bolt won't clear the hull properly if the bracket is down tite, at least with the WDK one. Make sense? Do a mockup of the bracket and nosepiece before assembly. I may make a couple reliefs in the hull so the bolt will clear with everything else in place.

you lost me.... are you talking about the x-metal pole bracket? I can kinda imagine what you are saying, but it is a little hard to picture... maybe it will be more clear when I get the pole and bracket in my hands...

The bolt won't clear the hull since its lower, without scraping.

ahh... thanks. I will make sure I either grind the end of the bolt or make some reliefs in the hull like you said. At least I know now to expect it to happen... God knows there is enough stuff that has happened to me already and that still will happen that I did not expect.... thanks man

you can get the bolt past the hull just by turning it at the angle of the hull...unless the wdk bracket is shorter than the xmw

if your still worried put a lil tape in the area it may hit to add a lil protection

Tonight I widened the rails with flat hydroturf. Next, I applied black diamond hydroturf on the rail. Looks nice...

Sorry some of the pics are a little hazy.... the 2 500 watt work lights near by are kinda bright for the camera.... plus not that great of a camera anyways....

This is some good lookin stuff man...I am doing all of the same stuff to my SJ. Got the ski torn down completely and have sanded the inside compartment and whatnot. Also, i did the same amount of glass in the tray as u did. I figured I may as well, a lil extra weight wont hurt, i dont wanna take that stuff apart later to fix a crack. Unfortunately, living in MN, i have a lot of time so i only work on it about once or twice a week. dont know anything about the cabosil stuff, but im using the foam from uscomposites to fill the bond line and nose like u did. I have some pics but have been to lazy to post or anything. But great looking job so far man!

still won't come out. must be lower the XMW...

I like the WDK bracket, but they are not anodized, and corrode very fast. I got mine last summer and it already looks like poop.

yea ic they must be different lowered heights
i can just barely get mine by ill have to tape off the hull real good now that i got my paint on l0ol

with WDK bracket I don't think you could notch the hull enough and still make it look nice... better to just install the pole on the bracket, then install both together onto the hull.
