there's a rental place about 4 minutes from here that rents couches out but they have a sweet looking yellow/purple/white super jet on their roof (not sure what year, but it's definitely a bare hull) and I'm thinking of stopping by and making an offer on it.

Unless you make it worth their while they probably won't want to hassle with it. IE you have to find someway to remove it yourself and put something else up there without damaging their property. Good luck on the mission though!

You can also remove that pump and trim setup and sell it to recoup some cash. Both are pretty highly sought after.

I ran into problems disposing of the waverunner hull that I had so I figure if there's something left of value on this hull someone will take the whole thing and I won't have to worry about taking it to the dump since I don't have a truck.

I understand your dilemma...but those parts are def worth renting a uhaul or home depot truck for a couple hours and disposing of the empty hull afterward. You're sitting on about $200-250 bucks. I guess Kawi Kid is gonna make out.

Oh I know how much it's worth, but I'm not willing to sit on it waiting for it to sell. Plus we're moving in two weeks and I really need to get rid of stuff fast. I'm purposely giving it away with some stuff of value still in it so it can get out of the front yard asap.

No worries either way, don't feel guilty for selling whatever you can on it and making some money. I flip stuff all the time. Hell a good portion of this has been paid for by flipping stuff off Craigslist.

My Blowsion shipment should be here any minute now so I figured I'd get some more work done while I'm waiting. Decided to add a layer of 1708 over the back of the ski where the exhaust bolts through since there were a couple of holes that I didn't want to be a source of leaking in the future.

Also started to try and somewhat level out the tray with some cabosil. There's a few craters on the back of the tray that bug me.

Getting ready to pour some foam to fill the voids behind the footholds since they were done on the sloppy side

And bought a new handle bar which of course these stupid allen bolts stripped but I ordered new ones when I ordered the handle bars too so no big deal.

lol I got mine for $35.99 in green! Wore it 3 times so far and I love it! The chest is a little puffy, but otherwise I love it so much more than the traditional jacket type vest

What's the general consensus when it comes to scupper valves? I'm trying to decide if I should even bother with one if I'm going to be running a bilge pump, if not I'll just glass over the hole that's already there and not worry about it. Seems like there's a lot of issues with them letting in water.

I personally have heard they're more trouble than they're worth. Then I've also heard of the duckbills blowing out as well. To each, their own.. I would never personally use one. I don't have the time or money to replace/redo the ski if that failure did ever happen

I'm leaning towards not running one and patching the hole but wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something since it seems like most ski's still run them.
