Super Jet fixed steer square nose

Im doing a mixture of polystyrene and pour foam..I wanted to do all poly but I was afraid of lack of strength and the fact that gas melts poly

Ok so I bought some more 4200 and sealed up the exhaust tube and reinforced the right side...engine bay done! Tmro I will start mixing foam. Today I did recieve my nose piece from tom 21 it fit perfect and is of great quality

Hooker came yesterday and I started foaming. I filled most the tray with polystyrene and then pour foamed around it to fill all the voids it didnt work exactly like I planned but its in there. I will start sanding foam monday.

We did some work today we started laying glass and we put the hooker in. After starting laying glass i noticed i should kick myself in the a$$ for the shytty sanding job i did.

FOR ANYONE LAYING GLASS OVER POURED FOAM, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE IT AS SMOOTH AS POSSIBLE DONT STOP BECAUSE ITS 95 AND YOUR HOT AND TIRED OF BEING ITCHY! :banghead:
You will thank me while you lay your glass.

If anyone is still actually following this, you will have to wait because i didn't take any pictures of the glass. I just snapped one of the hooker!

you can always pour another really thin layer of foam and sand it flat then lay more layers of glass over that to get it perfectly square.

Underpadding and turf will hide most of your imperfections, unless you got really crooked sanding the foam.

I really like the nosepiece tom made.

I've been riding my fixed square all year. It has hurt, yet helped my riding. Certain aspects of a fixed steer have helped me ride better while others have made my riding decline.

I just watched some videos of my rolls from two years ago and they look much better on a pole ski. However, my flips look better and are easier to pull off on a fixed steer. It's almost like cheating.

I dont know if i have said it on here or not but "if" this isn't my end all be all ski i plan to keep looking. I really think the wide tray mod is a must for me because i come from ridding an x2. i would really like to ride a ski with a shortened pole with a tight bolt. I would also like to ride a gen2 x2. George poped a flat deck x2 and posted a picture

so that might be my next adventure

The tom21 hood has some nice lines to it. Keep up the good work Matt. My SJ is going for some motor and pump work next weekend. I have a spare SJ hull sitting in my shed I may fixed steer this winter. May sell the X2 to fund that project.
