Well, I was on the fence about offering to cook... kinda burned out just like the snozzberry birdie. Also I talked to a certain filmmaker from GA that said he and his crew might make the trek again - an he was inquiring about the cakes... maybe I can bribe him this way? :poke:

So with some help I will likely go for it... But I might do the unthinkable and make the batter ahead of time to make things waaaaaay easier. No guarantee that they will be as light and fluffy as they usually are, but they will be edible. :fing02:

Bacon and/or sausage would be king... but somebody else would have to bring it and cook it.

Maybe this should be dinner one night? I'm usually morning-challenged on Sunday :laugh2:
remind said filmmaker that we have Jack-in-the-Box in TX and he can get his 2/$1 tacos on the way.

if that don't convince him to show - nothing will

WRT to the updated first post - I'm heading down this weekend. I'll take inventory of what I have. I know I have plenty of foil pans and serving utensils. I should have paper plates & flatware left over as well. Only thing we might need is napkins/paper towels and trash bags.

I'll cover pickles and sliced jalapeños as I have a huge jar of each. I probably also have condiments in the fridge from last time as well.

sure - sounds like a plan.

if ya'll want - I'll use the LSFR kitty money to buy the burgers & buns

I can pick burgers up at Costco or Sam's pre-made - that's what Peter123 did last year at lunch.

Heck, yes! I'll help and I know Wavegoddess will, too. Just tell us what you need us to do. I can cook sausage/bacon on dirty birdy's griddle while you do the flapjacks on your cool griddle if you want. I'll do straight blueberry compote this year (so no raspberries for those that didn't like that idea).

I'm in for sure. Like Sharon said, just tell us what we need to do. We make a mean team in the kitchen :Banane09:

And for Saturdays Burgers (that's if we don't do breakfast for dinner), I can get the condiments and add-on's ready. Shawn, whatever you don't pick up, let me know and I'll bring down the rest. (Tomatoes, pickles, ect.) I would ask Mick to pick up pickles, but last time he did that he came with the little TEENY TINY ones...:ugh2:

hmmmm, I said "filmmaker", not "photographer"... Maybe we are referring to different peeps.

Can't remember for sure but said photographer with the voracious appetite for Jack's tacos might have mentioned coming to TX again as well.

Then again, maybe the filmmaker like the tacos too?

Everybody from GA should come to Crystal Beach in March! :soapbox:

I thought you meant photgrapher as well. Don't know a film-maker unless he's buddies with the photgorapher. If that's the one I'm now thinking of - he was rumored to be among the GA crew that were considering coming down.

I didn't even see Shawns post about him having pickles and such...:dunce: ready right over it.... If you can think of anything Shawn, just let me know.

I would be glad to bring some stuff and get in on the Saturday dinner.

I met some of you in september but did not know about the meal plan.

Do we need to bring some funds as well to help pay for the burgers or just stuff.

I would be glad to bring chips, Must, Mayo & ketchup. If I can get my dad's Macaroni salad recipe I could do that too.

let me know and what kind and how much chips to bring.

Bring whatever variety of chips float your boat, we're waiting on Shawn to report back on the inventory on condiments and Mac salad sounds good. I expect with 45 odd on the firm roll call that we'll likely end up with anywhere from 60-75 attending. Not all will eat with the group, but for those that do, after a long day's ride, they's hungry peeps.

I suspect more than one will bring chips and we could have more than one bring mac salad, etc, too, so no one has to bring $50 worth of mac salad

Did we meet? What ski do you have?

My son and I were there with an Fx-1. You let us ride yours.

Thanks to you my ski is in the garage in pieces with a brand new pipe sitting on the shelf and since funds are tight I am custom fitting a 144 pump in place. the drive shaft has been swapped and the grinding completed just needs some glass work and nuts mounted in hull. Also plan to add tubbies so it will be interesting to see what diff that makes.

We also should have the B1 and my son's 550/650 conv ready for the trip.

I wondered if that was who you were! Welcome to the X! Since you are custom fitting a 144 pump, you qualify. You are now officially a ski addict.

Oh, and donations to the LSFR kitty are always welcome. Shawn is the keeper of the kitty.

Pick something and volunteer, I'll add names to the items on the first post as people call dibs on whatever they want to bring.

Thanks Mick, for putting your teeny, tiny heart fully into the ride.
