all good points.

1st. I rode my footrocket for the first time yesterday - love it! and not one leak except a little bit through the scupper. Handled great! and within the first 15 minutes was 3/4 flat water backflipping... this will surely be a fun hull with average small waves we get around here.

2nd. Keep in mind that nearly all aftermarket hulls are developed and built by pro or former pro riders. These guys know what they want out of a hull, handling, weight, etc. But they are also used to living with some imperfections to win titles. I'm not saying it makes producing hulls with imperfections right, I'm just saying if you are used to overlooking some things, or used to jury-rigging other things, chances are they don't pay as much attention to some things that the average rider might.

Has anyone that has a Rocket trimmed their tail plate? Barton told me he is about my size and cuts 2" off, but I'm wondering if it's 2" across the whole thing or just 2" off just the center portion that sticks out the furthest?

i'm 6' tall... cut mine off even with the rear of the hull... bolt it up, use a pencil and draw a line following the hull... pull it off and used a dremel or cutoff wheel to trim it..

I rode mine last sunday for the first time... 850cc PV dasa and was hitting 3/4 back flips within the first 15 minutes... loving it.

Cut that biotch off Frosty! lol l have only cut one 2" step off of mine so far.l'm sure l will cut more.....

Where have you got your footholds at Frosty.Back, middle?

I cut my tail plate just over an inch today and didn't notice any difference really so I'm gonna cut another inch off. That's crazy that you cut it flush to start with, how much do you weigh frosty?

this is very true, once a company has all of these issues beat, and starts to produce it reliably and quickly, with all known issues corrected,it would be safe to assume that they would be the go to gold star company making most the sales in the market..if margins lessen a bit to achieve this, volume would deff more than make up for it....so many companies fail to realize this

I can assure you man, there is very little room for margins to be cut in the first place!

well, if I thought I loved the footrocket on flat water for my first ride, today cemented the love. Best day on the water I have ever had!!! small 2 - 4 waves, tight chop... on my old hull it woulda been a sucky day... On the footrocket it was another story... fun as hell... with somewhere around 10 -12 backflips... one was 1 & 1/4 flip off a 3' wave.

F'n loving this hull!!!!!

I'm wondering if its extended because the metal knuckle of the steering cable doesn't fit out of the through hull fitting. At least that is how mine is with a jetmaniac steering cable. I have to get a drill bit to open up the I.D. Of the fitting.
