I forgot to mention before, but I used west systems g flex with black die for the inserts. And yes of course I sanded and prepped everything very well.
I can't believe I never did this before, or maybe it's because you can't do it on other hulls, but keep your waterbox attached to your chamber when you install it. Just bend it and you're good to go. I was happy when I realized that because that hose is a tight fit, and not fun to slip on inside the hull.
the gap is there because I was using a larger hose for mock up to make it easier to get the correct length and angle I needed, then I cut my correct diameter hose.
I also cleaned up the old yamabond around my starter and prepped it so I could reinstall it with fresh yamabond and not just depend on the o ring to seal it. I don't want any water getting in at all. Yamabonded the stator grommet too. I don't feel like explaining the embarrassing story, but I ended up having to replace the case bushing that I just replaced a few rides ago. I got a minty differentbendix installed as well, and a beautiful flywheel done by
@speedysprocket of course!
This plate tool is badass for torquing down flywheels too.
This eyelet for the limiting rope I'm using is gonna double as my steering stopper. I was gonna just use the nut at the stop but I'm gonna find some rod or square stock and cut it because otherwise I get too much throw for the cable no matter how I setup the cable ends.
Nothing special, but I cut up some stainless to use as backing plates for the pole bracket.
