That's a good price
Yeah I think so. I'm curious what alum tubing goes for at the local metal shop by me though too. Like if it's more than a few bucks a foot, or if eBay is the best price.
I did a little looking and 3 feet of 4 ply silicone hose is gonna be a minimum of 75$+

Turf your waterbox so it doesn't rub and vibrate, because it will rub and vibrate.

I would have used a larger and thicker pole bracket mounting plate on the inside there. Once it starts flexing it gonna start cracking the gel coat and weakening the glass. It might seem tight now but wait till you start yanking it. Lots of rolls and flips....

Yeah I'll turf the waterbox. The hull is 1/4 inch thick there and I have my pole super tight and there's no flex whatsoever. It'll be fine for a few rides since thats all I'll have left this season

Take this for what it is, but 1/4" of glass is not as strong as it may sound (or feel). You have 3' of leverage applying force to a couple of square inches. The backing plate is incredibly important. It needs to spread the load across as much of the laminate as possible. It might be fine for a few rides or it might start cracking the gelcoat (assuming that is gelcoat) on your first ride. How much is a piece of stainless plate though? $20 to have it done right the first time, worth it in my opinion.

Good point. I'd be pissed if the gelcoat cracked. Yeah its about that. But it takes time to cut and measure and drill through stainless. Possibility I can get a Blowsion backing plate for 30$ shipped.. That would be better and a fair price too for the time it takes.

I guess I just didn't want to believe I was gonna have to go a different route with a backing plate. But it only makes sense to do it right and have extra insurance. So I'm going with a Blowsion stainless laser cut plate someone on the x has. Better safe than sorry.

Did some measuring. I'll need about 4 feet of tubing to connect the exhaust pipe and waterbox. So that 3 foot piece of alum and @Harbor hose should do it

Oh ok sounds like you have it figured. If you pm me your address I'll ship the two hoses Monday USPS medium box delivery
Awesome dude! Sounds like a plan.

Does anyone know the NPT size for the b pipe exhaust mani? Is it 1/4 npt? Gonna get some push connects for it to make life easier.

I don't get using the push connects do not trust them.

Once you get used to working with them, they are so easy and they work really well. I havent had any issues with mine, and a know a handful of people that use them more than I do and they were the reason I decided to give them a try.

Last year I bought my alum for exhaust tube from Speedy Metals in Milwaukee, it was just over $10 for 3' of 2.5" .065. They do ship Spee Dee delivery which was very reasonable $6-7 to northern MN
Yeah speedy metals is closeish to me, I've bought stuff from them before. That's a solid deal. I just bought 3 feet for 23$ shipped so it's too late :l
