@Roseand let's see some pics of the open bulkhead. I'm interested in how that is set up. Is the strength that the bulkhead adds made up for somewhere else? I'm having a hard time picturing this in my head.

Nice. Wonder if the sides flex more than a bulkhead ski like if you failed an attempt at a barrel roll and landed directly on the side of ski.

Just a little update: ebox and motor mounted, exhaust mani cooling lines hooked up, battery installed, etc. Getting close!

Probably because that motor looks like it could use a thorough cleaning, what is all that schmang on your flywheel cover, get yourself an o-ring cover and you'll never have to worry about water getting in

I guess. I couldn't care less about how it looks, as long as it runs. I'm only worried about going out and riding. This winter I'm taking apart everything and will clean up/paint the motor anyways. It's getting cold!

But seriously, everyone with a JetSki should get a Daytona Speed Brush....makes quick work of every tight space. Motor cleaning simplified with one.

My oringed billet cover leaked too. Now I run the gasket on it too with grease on both sides and it's good now. Might try that.

Waterproof gease is great. Use it on almost everything. It wont just help seal tiny leaks. It keeps the gasket from sticking to the metal and destroying it. You can get a lot more life out of a gasket that way. You dont have to worry (as much) about taking a cover off for inspection to poping off you headpipe for cleaning and lube assuming its going to destroy your gasket and itll take too long to order another.
