And put them back in by just putting them on the driveshaft?

Unlikely you would get that to work, might work for the first one but getting the second past that or trying to get the first one to skip the first groove and into the second would be near impossible.

Sounds like one ride with the new pump and then I'm gonna call it a season then..

I'm lost. With a spacer my prop clears the solas hub. Without the prop, the pump spins effortlessly.. But with the prop hand tightened, it spins way harder..

Even spaced completely away from all hubs, tightening the prop makes the driceshaft a lot harder to turn on the stator. Is this normal or is there something way wrong? uploadfromtaptalk1449607590234.jpg

The driveshaft might not be all the way in. How far is the shoulder of the driveshaft sticking out past the seal?

Get your impeller as close to those stator veins as possible. If you know someone with a lathe they can cut the hub of the impeller all the way to the blades. I even took some metal off the pump to get it closer

I Googled some pics and I thought my seal didn't look right.. So I put a washer over it and tightened the prop down and it pushed the seal back to where it needed to be. This is a pic of it before that, but it should show you where the driceshaft is

I'm using two washers, and they don't look to be binding anywhere. Idk where they'd bind. I tried tightening a prop on my stock pump and it doesn't cause any binding either.. It turns the same before and after. But the solas stator turns super easy without impeller, and when I put the prop on it makes it significantly harder to turn. It turns smooth, but not easy

To make sure nothing was binding up, I stacked a bunch of washers and a large nut and lightly snugged it up so the prop couldn't possibly bind anywhere, and it still caused the pump to turn harder. It's like any pressure against that seal causes it to bind a little bit

Is the seal pressed in further than the shoulder on the shaft that the prop hub or washer rest against, or is your washer making contact with the surface of the seal
