Good feeder!

Ski is running good enough to "not rip it apart" . But, need to give some attn to the rear carb and bilge switch.
Wiring under the hood again!
I had the first generation switch. Seller offered a new one....but I declined...it was working fine. Can't really ask for more than a year or 2 from any switch!
Still ready to ride.

Have you and Jay been riding any Dan? I still think about how nice the surf was and had such a blast riding with you guys on vac! The surf gods were so good to us.

You picked the right week for sure! We had some "almost as good" waves last week....but it's over for now. This weekend is all about getting things done around the house. Glad you came when you did! Had a great time...

865 in the Freak yet? That thing is gonna rock! (even on that TN swell) lol.

Got the engine in last weekend.Been trying to get it dialed in but had an older rubber coupler on the bpipe. This was causing some exhaust to confuse (me!) on the carb settings. But Chasing Daylight came thru for me!!! Thanks Pat! He got a coupler from xscream and shipped it.All working great.l'm close on the tuning but still lack the bottom.More tuning today. So far it pulls nice.

Wow! It doesn't seem like it, but it's been a year since I installed the Cold Fusion steering. I have not had to mess with it at all!
I love it.
Thanks Sanoman, for pointing me in that direction!
It's just a simple, awesome piece of equipment!

Worked on carbs today. (boat first, could not get that sob to run right.)
THe ski was a bit easier....for once. Pulled the flame arrester off and its base plate....detached throttle cable and worked it by hand. Carbs were just out of sync. Adjusted/sync'd flaps and ran it on the hose.
It ran as good as it ever has. HooRay Beer! didn't want to pull the carbs anyway.
The PIG will have to wait a bit longer for a true cleaning.

It's probably been that way for a long time. Sometimes it's the simple things that bite you in the arse.

I'll put it in the water and it will surely run like a (fill in the blank). lol.

I was paging down the sections on the main page and got to the "my ski" section and said (to myself), "hey dammit, I have one of those!" And realized that the current "break" that I am on is the longest in a decade. I've not even given it a 30 second sympathy-start in at least a month.
The last time I rode was in Jax when Jim (ThrillHill) f'd himself up on a BF.
I really wanna ride.

Wow.
It's been a long time since I've done anything but ride and beat the crap out of the pig. Water coming in thru midshaft. Not upset. As I said, I've abused the thing for quite a while without major wrenching.
But, Sanoman is in town and I'm not ripping it apart right now.
Riding dawn patrols the next 2 days.
Gonna pack it with grease til it pukes and hope for the best.
Then vacation for a week or so....maybe after that I'll give the pig some of the attention that it needs.
Jetmaniac must think that I died. lol.
Are you ready Chris?

I don't move very quickly when the weather sux and the temps are low.
But...finally started ripping the pig apart today. All the little stuff is out of the way.
What a mess.
Dirty..I mean. SLUDGE! Maybe it's all that WD-40 .... don't know.
If I don't go fishing tomorrow, I'll have the motor & pump on the workbench.
Steering cable is in awful shape near the pole bracket.
Coupler was making contact for about half an inch at best on the doughnut. Not good.
Mid shaft is wasted. We knew.
Some of the electrical connections would make anyone wonder how anything worked. lol.
Glad I'm not in a hurry this time.
