Weigh in update.

Fully assembled running.....less footholds , Turf, Hood tie down strap and ride plate

90.8 kgs

I want to do some testing and possible variations on layup etc but after that the hulls will be for sale as a kit or built up ready for SJ parts to be fitted.

I intend to make a stronger and heavier freeride hull as well as the flatwater hull.

I have not worked out a final price yet.
They will not be expensive but will have to be shipping from Thailand .

So a good excuse to have a holiday over here to test the ski etc ! :cool2::cool2:

where are you in Thialand? My buddy goes over there twice a year.... I'm sure he would be stoked to jump on a ski while he was out there...

I supose a bit squirley is what I want for free style?? Lol. we will see very soon !

Battery tray , ride plate done ( 328 grames !) foot holds coming.... Lots of work on those!

Took a mold off another ski, Modded it made foot holds, modded again temporarily fitted (second pic) , another mould (last pic), Smoothed up the mould then layed up final pieces to be fitted tomorrow!

I have managed to loose 3 kgs off the pole assy by making an aluminium pole bracket, changing the 2.5 " tubes to 1.5 mm wall from 3mm wall! If they bend someone can call me stupid but I dont think they will.
Also I took a mould off the pole pad and laid up a lightweight version.
The pole comes with very nice rose joint double adjusters to adjust the ange off the top section, But when I have finalised the adjustment I want to make some fixed strips from aluminium as they are a bit heavy for a super light boat.
Also I am wrking on an aluminium pole bolt ( freinds M/C shop has no power !)

The tanks hold 6 liters the right hand one that feed the carbs has a model helicopter style clunk weighted internal pipe that falls to wherever the fuel is so I will be able to use the fuel right down to empty without gulping air.

It weighs in at 92.5 kgs ready to ride 1.5 ltrs of fuel and temporary tie down strap and temporary pre-paint job turf .

Tomorrow is the day! first tryout........When I start to learn to ride it Lol!

Love to see this thing on the water. This could be the new go to hull. Looks like it will be a lot of fun and really easy to hood trick on. Let's see some footage. GoPro!!!

Well it rides very light , It needs some small mods to 'Dial it in' !

The rear of the hull took in some water which we drained after riding, A light pressurisation and a soapy water spray soon found the problem areas.
There was one small leak on the rear bond line, And the fuel cells are not sealed to the bulkhead adequatly.

Also I think the foothold placement could be a bit too far back , I am going to try it again tomorrow with some other mods( mainly because I am sick of the sight of foot holds right now!) before I cut them out and re-position them .

We have also made a second slightly longer rideplate tonight to try out tomorrow.

I think the pole needs shortening an inch or two.

I am very pleased with the first try out it certainly feels like the motor is bigger than a lightly modded 701!
