Thanks guys... i'm hoping to have it all ready for paint by this weekend.

Gonna call my friend Tony (he builds and paints custom choppers) to see about having him paint it for me. Bottom white - Top KTM orange. Handle pole is already black, and will go with black turf.

Placed orders today for some of the final missing pieces:
Motor mounts
Kenney keepers
New pole bushings
Hood seal
ODI Rouge grips

Pretty much have everything now, or on the way... just need to order my hydro-turf and 25mm under pad.

BTW - I ordered many oem parts from DGY motorsports and they were by far the cheapest route to go!

what brand of black paint did you use for the inside of the hull

I bought Rust-o-leum marine coatings top side paint. It sells by the quart and it only took about 1/8 of a quart to have adequate coverage. Applied by brush.

It's pretty tough stuff, just make sure to clean any oil, grease or dirt out really good. I used a 2:1 mixture of water:ammonia solution to clean everything really good. Along with a scrub brush.

The reason I painted it is because it was pretty heavily reinforced, and painted by the previous owner. The paint used was blue and dirty as hell. I wanted to clean it up a bit.

My WDK Diablo hood arrived today.

This weekend I'll install my WCF footholds and reinforce the pole bracket area... after that just need to give the hull a final sand and she's ready for paint.

I also picked up a 24/7 front foothold.

clear coat it and start assembly. haha. your way farther along then steve, alex and sausages.

LOL - if the lake wasn't frozen i might consider that.

Once I get my scale back from Brian I plan to weigh the hull again to see how much it is now with the poly foam. The ski minus foam, exhaust tube and tray cut out came in at 98lbs - and this bastards very heavily reinforced... I'm talking 30oz glass throughout the entire engine bay, even the bottom.

I think the foam I used added only about 3 lbs :fing02:

D-Roc

I forgot!
did you happen to weigh your hood? my WCF is 18lbs the same as Steve's 24/7 but the WCF is much stronger. that is where i would like to loose some more weight, upgrade to a new WCF hood. Also the handpole, mine is a stock -4, not sure if a x-metal is any lighter. besides those two things i couldn't find anything else to shed unless i start drilling speed holes in everything and drilling out the centers of all my bolts. I came in a 283 with my big battery. really anything under stock weight and i was happy considering our motors make lots more than stock. can't wait to see everyones skis finish up and ready to ride. April 1st is our first ride in the river, float suits and all!

I'll weight it this week. I'm running a Wammer reinforced AC pole, cut -6"s. Yeah, I'll be happy if mine comes out lighter than stock. I run a 4lb batter during the summer, but it doesn't have enough CCA's for colder water riding.

April 1st ehhh... hopefully the ice will be gone off the lake by then... if not, maybe we'll have to come up your way for a ride.
