Finally broke down and got me a carbon fiber ski, after riding two of my friends DVX's over the summer, I knew I had to get into the carbon flatwater game. I was having no luck finding a used dvx hull and didn't really want to drop 9k on a new one, so I pulled the trigger on what i hear is the next best thing, FV-PRO!! I saw @eastcoastjumper hull for sale and being a sucker for 80/90s bright color schemes, I feel in love. Luckily I was able to meet up with eastcoastjumper in my home state, so that saved me a few hundred in shipping.
She's a beaut!

I'm currently waiting on my new motor, so I have been taking my time with the build till it gets here.
First thing I did, was removing the 155 shoe, going with a 148 pump&shoe.
Someone glued the intake grate in with 5200
, that was very hard to remove, but finally got it out and shoe installed.

Pump alignment went well, only needed 1 - 2mm shim on each side, bulkhead was square, so no shims needed there. I'll be using smaller shims for finally install, these are too big and heavy!

I wasnt a big fan of the turf setup, my buddies @Twake was able to test ride the ski and agreed that it needed to be changed.
Before
I bought some x-scream heal wedges and used 1" under padding on top and bottom side of the foothold

So cozy

I will also be turfing the dash, just haven't made it that far yet.
The holds took me a good bit of time to get them perfect, I know how import they are.
The tray being uneven for the pump tunnel didn't help matters.

Lots of adding padding below heel pads, sanding footholds, test fitting, repeat.. but totally worth it for a good final result.
