Its time to let Chris have his build thread back!

I think you need to put up or shut up. Until you start posting your pictures of your awesome hull, stop bashing other hull builders!

i will be soon, and im bashing one hull builder, wont you be a little upset when your new gen3 weighs 20lbs more than it should

Not at all because Derrick was quite clear with me on how much my hull with weigh, its still lighter than a carbon Rickter.

I wish the site made you do an IQ test or even a simple math problem before signing up. It would weed out a lot of posters!

I'm not sure why people are bitching that the fit & finish of a $4k budget hull isn't quite up to the same standards as a $10k Trinity or $12k Lightweight.
It's about the best valued a/m hull out there. Of course it's going to have some rough spots.
Pinholes and misaligned inserts? Welcome to my SF that was twice as much.

Let's stop arguing... It's all done, the hull had excess things on it that added weight. So that solved that long ago! Anything aftermarket isn't going to be perfect I've heard many stories of SFs that need lots of stuff done. So going into this I knew things would need modding. It's not a huge deal. Just like on the SF thread you all discuss how things are wrong with those. It wasn't a crime to post the pump tunnel issue, or the cooling line smallness. It was just facts of an aftermarket hull Don't think anyone here was bashing anything. It's all good everyone chill it. I appreciate the ski clinics help with this whole weight thing. As I said before they explained it all out. Let's end all this... There is nothing more to chat about on this subject

the BOTTOM line is that the ski clinic offers a VERY affordable aftermarket hull capable of the biggest tricks. Truthfully without that hull, doubt id be getting ready to flip a ski. Do you get what you pay for with everything? YES.
The BOB has a great finish to it IMHO for a 4000$ ski, you cant expect to get a Ferrari when you buy a Mustang.
Both are very nice fast cars, but you cant really compare them!

duh they do. thats why when you do a search you have to answer who made the superjet :)

It's sitting in a shop next to a $4000 hull from bullet twice the size and the same weight. And the fit and finish to 10x nicer on the bullet.

Your right man the fit and finish is no where near a trinity. But yes you pay for that. That's not apples to apples.

My doors are always open. If you were standing in the shop looking at these hulls in front of you I think it would be a different story.

Stop by at a freeride I'm always open to let people try our skis and see the stuff we build. We don't buld junk. We buld parts the way we would want to buy them. I guess I'm asking to much to see that same thought coming from other companies.

Well then compare it to a $4000 Bullit Racing SXR Gen 1 hull that is bigger, stronger, better fit and finish. That would be "apples and apples" right? Just saying cause we keep bringing up the $ versus quality here. We get what we get when we buy A/M hulls. Someones idea of "cherry" isnt someone elses idea of "cherry". But, as being an owner of both the aforementioned hulls, I wish I would've kept the Bullet for my riding style. The BOB is hard to sell with the ski clinic telling people that the Gen1 and 1.5 are'nt any good and that you have to have a Gen 2 or 3. That is hear say kinda but had to pass it on. Rad Dudes has brought some serious innovation over the years and was stating his observations of a "hull". Everyone that has a BOB labels him a "hater". Really? He points out what all BOB owners already know. So what. You bought it, you deal with it, you like it, or like me you sell it asap. Just my 2 cents that no one gives a s#$t about. Seriously look at a Bullit hull and be impressed at what you have or be dismayed about what you couldve had.

2 hulls 2 different companies delivered the same week and bought at the same price point. They are 2 very different skis but fit and finish doesn't even come close. Bullet it's a show car, bob is a work horse.

The question is: why Chris dont built himself his hull ??

Perfection is good, but its not the best world...................... says the french man !

And perfection is necessary, why build something half assed or not to its fullest potential?

Because, I have never built an AM ski before from scratch, and dealing with this amount of money in motors and hull and such, I want a seasoned set of eyes and hands on this thing. and that being said, Mark has done a ton of these things, and knows what he is doing, He has helped a bunch, and fixed things I would have over looked.

I see no problem, at first weight issues were posted, those were taken care of and explained, thats is all done and over with. Derrick was amazing and called on his day off to take care of this all. Thats good support to me!!
Then issues with pump duct was brought up, and then water lines, again, whats the big issue with that? I could probably dig up like 500 threads about all the issues with a superfreak when they are bought... Its just part of the aftermarket hull world.. what is the huge problem... No one is perfect! There are ALWAYS things off, I mean we are taking parts from a million places, putting them into a custom hull, its kind of expected to have small things!! Not a big deal!! F
I believe this is VERY worth it for 4000, It is fine to have to do some work, 4000 is an amazing deal for this hull.

lets end all this fighting crap... really now.

Personnally im not fighting anything we are just discussing. I think everybody speak with respect and its the most important. If you dont want people post on a public thread dont give your hull at Mark who is pointing everything in all details ( thing that he can do and I respect ) with photos.

What do you expect ?? You take it easy and let thing going on, its entertaining !!

The problem is that it is looking like we are going down hill fast.

I actually am not at all pissed about anything, Mark posting those pics, was done becuase it was asked for by myself for him to update thread with photos.
I love that he took the time to fix the pump area etc... He pays great attention to details... hence why he is building my hull with me, And its awesome hes giving up his own time to do so.

I do NOT want this turning into a bashing thread (too late) Especially against the ski clinic, mark, DK1, or anyone else I have dealt with....
Everyone has been awesome to me about this, and it needs to stay on the positive, This was in no way to turn people away from BOB hulls, becuase as I said in my last post(well just go read it)
the BOB hull needs random little things, IMHO, seems like a LOT less is needed with my BOB then a LOT of Superfreaks out there, but again, its all the world of AFTERMARKET PARTS/HULLS ETC... stuff needs to be done! Its not a big deal.
