Killin it! Looking good. I suck at setup wakes also but have found that 180 hop flips are way easier than 180 slides to flip. Almost like a 180 nose stab to a flip but not so steep. Try it! And pull on the bars as HARD as you can and it spins the ski a lot faster. Good luck!

Hit the first wake

First wake for sure. But also remember timing the wake is different for every set up. different motor, pump and especially hulls will require slight variations in timing based on how everything reacts and how your motor builds power.
For me to flip off my second wake, i almost have to slow down to a crawl into a tail stand, then flip off the wake from a near stand still. The flip is super tight and fast.
180 hop is the easiest cause it puts your ski into the flipping motion upon landing, practice a few 180's and soon as u land straight just get your timing down.

I agree with Jace hit the first wake in Jessi's movie you can see some wake hits from an above vieuw to get a feeling for the timing and where to hit the first wake hope it can help a bit.

wasnt expecting this from you turbo, good info. I agree with the 180 flat spin to flip. I'm just shy of 200lbs and this is what I did and nose them in with a stock ignition non ported 718. Plus it's technically a combo. IMO it's easier not dealing with timing and you can concentrate on just rotation and get used to it.

I'm 240 lbs and suck at 180 flips lol! I'll learn them better this coming year. Need to up the combo list for world finals ;)

I think weight can be an advantage if you use it right. Lucas was 240 at some point doing 16 flips in a row. I haven't ridden a hurricane, but gen2 bobs are not easy to flat spin. Neither are Chans , so don't beat yourself up about it. If you look at my avatar, that was the start of a flat spin, you have to throw your weight so far forward you look like that<<. I will say the chan feels easier than my gen2, hornedoggs felt awesom with the Jetmaniac big bore. Try some flat spins Amanda , with that power and your weight you'll spin Around as fast as lee stone

So many different ways and approaches. ...one is bound to work for me. Only one way to find out!
