Take a big drill bit and round those ends. You definitely don't want any sharp corners near a high stress area on the hull or you'll have cracks in no time. I raised my concerns to Highroller about this and Dan assured me the slits would be ok since his hulls have extra reinforcement there. I guess the metal plate itself would help hold it together but a little precaution can god a long way.

Thanks for the tip . I am not done with the holes yet .... I will round off the ends , I will also be building up some of the area underneath , to give the bracket more of a footprint to distribute the weight..if theres extra reinforcemnet there .. its not much.

Team Bill bracket , along with the team bill pole . Its the only bracket you can use , unless you make your own , ( alot smaller than standard SJ bracket)

Highroller sells one that is composite. It comes with his composite pole and he guarantees both against breakage. Looking good!

I have been wondering about this part. So the handle pole bracket mounts from BELOW?

WTF is up with the hulls they seem like they could be awesome, Highroller and the ex-member formerly known as Goose both claim to have at some point running complete versions of these but the only pictures look like grainy satellite images from space.

Seems like you could push the pole up and tear the front of the topdeck right off...use a strong limiting rope.

Well this could be because Goose made this hull instead of Highroller. I'm not trying to bash anyone, point the finger, or say your hull is better or worse because of it but a mold is only one piece of the puzzle as many people found out with the whole 24-7 deal. It takes design and "know how" to properly reinforce the right areas and lay the fibers in the right direction. From the 3 layers of biax that I see under your pole area, the bottom one looks like it's in the right direction, the top doesn't, and I can't tell about the one in the middle. Hopefully there are more than 3 layers in that area though.

Yes Aaron , it mounts from below....it could sit on top but I think itl look cool with just the ears sticking through the hull.

I agree totally , about the pictures , it was nerve racking as helll ..... I couldnt get an exact answer here to mount the bracket . It DOES NOT lay flat anywhere ... I went for where it was the most flat.. I ll get some good pics of when I finish the install , and measurements if needed .

hey Chad, are you going to build that area up up where the bracket is going? Like make it flat right there? I think the under mounting is interesting.
