300sx tank looks like the shiz for the Stunt....lookin' good! Keep the pics comin'

Looks like there's room for a battery next to the tank?? (where the screwdriver is in the first pic)

The only problem with that is that they are no longer available new, it is possible that somewhere some dealers have them in NOS stock, other than that will have to be a used tank and even those are hard to come by.

you can get a 300sx fuel tank from www.bikebandit.com

You can actually get it or you can order it? Lots of places let you add parts to your cart and order them but once it runs through the system they refund your money and you get no parts,I have run into this a lot on Seadoo decals and parts for old jet boats.I tried ordering direct from Kawasaki, part was no longer available.I placed an order with bike bandit as I need one of these tanks,I will let you know if I actually receive one or not.

l wish there was a bunch laying around! Been looking for 2 months now. Some clown on ebay has one,but he grouped it with a stock 300sx handlepole and hood. For the "low price of $150" and he won't split the parts up.l've bugged the crap out of him! :aargh4:

Glue session !

Finished making and glueing all the inserts for the tank , silencer, and battery box.

then I filled the remaining voids around the motor mounts with glue .. these puppys are rock solid!

Next week Ill start laying the black glass on the bottom of the hull and try to cover all the mounts..

then the two pieces of hull will be ready to be glued together.

:cheer2:

I have a used 300 SX tank. It needs cleaned bad. Had some varnished looking gas junk in it. Not sure how much you would be willing to pay for it... PM me if interested.

Your about there! Mines coming along. How much of a deal is it to put the inserts down.Could you give some tips.

Most of the time was making the inserts .

Then I mocked up everything and marked the locations of the inserts .
Next I put a small piece of tape on the bottom of the insert covering the hole.( so no glue would go onto the threads)( i have heard you can put grease in the hole aswell)

Next I put glue on the inserts and installed them to the marked locations. then I ran a small bead of glue around the sides ... and smoothed em out ( more glue surface)

Hope that answers your Question

I almost bought some of the black fiberglass but some of the discount carbon on US composites was only a couple dollars more. Looks cool either way I guess.

Yeah this was discounted , it was almost free, I would have rather had carbon .. but oh well , I think this will work just fine..

Had to order more glue .. then the 2 pieces finally become one .
