Did yours come with a rideplate or are you making your own?

Ramjet and I made my ride plate about a year ago for another boat of mine. So its lake tested . Chopped it to fit

Thanks for all the compliments guys !

I bought a fx1 short shaft as well, but its not here yet . that might give me a little bit more room aswell .

What direction are you trying to go. Tom noticed a GP1200 shaft sitting on my bench. It's several inches shorter than SJ and would move the motor towards the firewall. Do you need it?

Thanks Aaron, I think I tried one and the problem was ... the spline on the inside of the shaft , start too deep , so my drive shaft did not grab enough threads.

I am trying to bring it all back .. the fx drive shaft will move the bulkhead back 2 + inches , and hopefully a new short shaft will bring the motormounts back aswell.

the one on the right is a gp1200??? shaft . left is stock Sj

allright , I received the FX-1 short shaft . the new short shaft will bring the motor back an additional 5/8 of an inch ... still waiting on a pump to show up.
then we will see how it fits.

Left is sj
Right is FX1

Would just using a fx-1 midshaft with a superjet driveshaft have worked at all? I think I may try that route to move the motor back some but not the bulkhead if it will work.

yes it would work .. they will spline up if thats what your asking, bringing the motor back 5/8 " .. I wanted to try and bring as much of the weight as possible as far back as possible, and since I made the bulkhead I have the luxury to try this .. I am not sure how your setup is ( with the bulkhead)

It'd be cool to actually see where the center of gravity of the ski would fall with an average rider in his normal riding position. I'm betting it's behind the bulkhead which makes me wonder why we try to bring weight back and not push it forward.

Well his hull was a unique purchase... Were you entitled a hood in the first place? I was figuring it was kinda like the bulkhead.
