You're right they shouldn't be using a modified stock head with that expensive kit when you can purchase the ADA superbore head shell and no machine work is necessary.

http://www.adaracing.com/personal-watercraft/head-shell-yamaha-super-bore/ya760sb

The custom ADA Sea-Doo 951 domes will work perfect with the 62T cylinder and they can be made by to any specification for 50 dollar charge on top of the dome price.

Wow, I didnt even know that head shell exsisted from ADA! Thats nice.

After reading this, I called my friend last night and he will going that route for sure.
He already has a ADA head, so he be able to use his studs/nuts on it.
I agree, why buy the machine OEM with the expensive special made gasket. I'm sure I could get that gasket made for me at a fraction of the cost that Harry charges.

Thanks for the tip! Your a wealth of knowlege #.0!

I spent a little time looking around tonight & stumbled upon this thread........

I have 5 brand new ADA Super Big Bore girdled headshells to offer up for cheap. Several years ago when I had JrMagoos, I played with & built several of these motors. I had a bunch of headshells made with the JRM logo etched in them...... long story short, I have 5 left....... I will offer them up for $100 each, shipped USA only! (current list is about $195) These are the headshells only, they accept ADA, SD 951 domes only, you will need to have the domes custom cut for the Group K cyl package, but I would guess it will work great, I'm sure Harry will help you with the domes for his cyl.

I have heard great things about this cyl. While I tried this consept, I didn't like certain elements of it. Harry firured out how to make it work.
Kudos Harry!!! I knew there would be a way! You found it!

Ya, he was saying he didnt think any o-ring head would hold. I say BS and would just use some of the Black or blue RTV for assurance like we used to use all the time on the old protec o-ringed non-removable dome heads.

I would say look at all the stroker big bore out there holding out just fine with o-rings!

Do it twice?That's DooDoo
I am still waiting to see one of these things running... or just hear about it...

last time I heard- some people had ordered them... someone must be already running one of these things...

yes mine is in a blaster. i've never ridden a stroked blaster or superjet, so it would be hard for me to compare. it's like the difference between a 125 2 stroke, and a 450 4stroke.

Uh... Id take the 125 anyday.... I think that was an aweful analogy.

And if thats actually what you meant I think Harry needs to go back to the drawing board.

Im still waiting on some pistons bigger than 86mm for my groupk bigbore. Its bull:):):):) that none are offered since there is plenty of sleeve thickness left. There must be coumtless others with bigbore topends that would also run bigger pistons if they were available.

So still no definite answer how that kit performs? How about Group K say something about it? Maybe some performance specs? e.g. take a standard SJ and a SJ Group K and make a few simple tests...

The only objective tests come from a dyno or radar, everything else is someones BS. You will not be seeing any hard numbers on these oversized engines because their power doesn't increase much with size. GroupK has discovered, jetskiers are all about size. They will spend a lot of money if its bigger without regard to cost/benefit.

Thats kind of a bold statement... 2k is not a lot of money for a motor...

it might be more torque than a 701 but there is no way its as much diff as a 125 to 250 motox bike. they would have to be 950 or bigger to feel like that much diff
