It is Penwood Motor Lodge. You may wish to wait until they give me the discounted group rate prior to contacting them. You will more than likely have to give a code to get it just like last year. I’ll try to post up all the different discounts and whatever else I learn in one post, as opposed to piece milling it (easier for everyone to retrieve on down the line). I would guess we should have all the information from the various places by Monday if not before.

Directions:
http://www.mapquest.com/maps?cat=sebastian+inlet+state+park

From Indian River County
From Interstate 95, take the Fellsmere/Sebastian exit and go east (towards Sebastian) on County Road 512. After a short distance, turn right on County Road 510. This road will intersect with U.S. Highway 1. Continue east, over the Indian River, to State Road A1A. Turn left (north) and go 7 miles on State Road A1A, you will have arrived at Sebastian Inlet.

From Brevard County
From Interstate 95, take the U.S. 192 exit and go east until you reach State Road A1A in Indialantic. Turn right (south) on State Road A1A and go 18 miles to get to Sebastian Inlet.

There are two entrances to the park located on either side of the channel (bridge). The north entrance is the surfer’s zone, concession stand (new management) and swimming area. The south entrance is the campground, boat ramp, and shore launch area we use (just drive until you come to the end, and that is where we meet). Bathhouses, water hook-ups, picnic area and grills are onsite. Pets must be leashed and are not permitted to go into the water.

When launched and riding out to the channel, we must be in single file and idle, also staying to the center when going under the bridge (mega long fishing lines)…strictly enforced. Once you get through the inlet, Monster Hole breaks at 1-2 o’clock. We head north of the surfer’s zone for shore pound if MH is not breaking.

We will be releasing the block of rooms contracted at Hiram’s this Friday, if we do not have enough people staying there (I haven’t checked with them yet). If you have procrastinated making your reservations at any of the hotels/campgrounds, you need to do so, or you will likely have no roof (most places were close to full occupancy when the arrangements were made, due to it being busy season).

The park can not host us in the overflow this year, because the Park Manager’s superiors came down on him for being lenient. He looks forward to us coming however, and said if we give him three months warning next time, we can rent all campsites, having the place to ourselves basically.

The band featured above, Orange Avenue, confirmed their interest today, and they will (or have) booked themselves as the band for the weekend.

Wetracer Magazine has expressed interest in covering this in their next issue (so if you have a boat, bring it, because Willie is not always dependable we learned last year:soapbox:).

you're my neighbor then. Those are the nicest rooms overall.

Mezz, upstairs has the best view if you care to switch. It can be a truly beautiful sunrise from up there. The area you mentioned in your other post is the Bimini Beach area. I'll call the Harbor Master by Monday, and see what traffic is planned for the marina; if skis are being beached, I must coordinate approximately how many with him (if a large amount). I've managed it with close to 15 couches before, so it's not an issue if nothing crazy is going on that weekend.

Hiram's is extremely family oriented, and children are welcome. It doesn't get crazy in the Sandbar and until late at night.
