You need an AR15!
You need an AR15!
^^I've looked at them before and thought that they were pretty high-priced for what you get. You can build something nicer for less and unless pricing has changed, seems you can pick up the S&W AR offerings for cheaper as well.
Or if you're loaded, go with SIG ARclones. LOL.
That would explain why they are so damn expensive. $2600 was the price tag on the one I looked at 3 years ago. And that was when standard AR15's where still in the $900 to $1200 range.
If you are referring to the Ruger's, they are in the $900 to $1600 range. The one I like is $1400.

That's the one I looked at too. The Ruger site lists them at $1900 now but I swear I saw it at $2499 a couple years ago.
piston driven ar's are great!
if you like a 3lb weight on the end of your gun
The pistons in my 701 probably weigh less than that... I'm very curious who makes a 3lb piston setup?? And how that is even possible?
it wasnt a literal statement...but piston driven guns are going to be MUCH heavier

This thread needs more Lever Action love. Here is a Winchester 30-30 I picked up recently. I never really cared for Lever Action rifles until I got one. Now I enjoy them more then my AR's.
