Man that turf is tight. I may need to cross the state to get turf install lessons. I manage but I can see I have a ways to go still.

I found one thing not on the list....fuel and oil, want me to filler up? I think I still have some juice in the ole paypal.

Nice job on the turf man! Like the roundnose turf shape on the gunwales. That will save some elbows.

Thanks for all the time you are putting into it!!

saving the elbows was exactly the idea behind that. i had to make new templates, but i think it was worth it in the end. im so glad the body is ALMOST done.

i havent received the driveshaft from corey yet. he sent it well over a week ago USPS and it still hasnt showed. w/o it, i cant install align the engine. i hope it didnt get lost in the mail. :sad2::crying:

good luck...others on the board have had the same trouble

yeah, i just saw that thread the other day for the first time:scratchchin:

im hoping he's not going to flake out on us with this thing:puppy_dog_eyes:

btw...ski looks AWESOME; somebody is going to be a very lucky little dude or dudette who gets that ski

actually, we're not going to be doing the junior rider thing. too many loopholes such as; how do we know the person isnt going to sell it within a week? if i hold the title for it and someone gets hurt on it, im responsible for it. etc....

we're going to raffle it off for $5 per ticket. the preceeds with be split three ways.

1/3 to snackem
1/3 to the jk fund
1/3 to the X for hosting fees

does this sound good to everybody? open to suggestions.

I think PWCtoday should get a share since they donated the motor with warranty.
as for the JK fund is great but there is a little boy that could use some help too. see LISALISA on the other side.

or you should issue a raffle ticket for each member that contribute
to this build of for each parts they have donated. then sell the remainder of the ticket. get 100 ticket at $5

PWC is run by a for profit company. why would you give them money?

PWCtoday is just a non profit website with free membership help banner for the vendor etc SBT is the business. they have been very generous to give that motor in less then 24 hrs some of the vendor here or on PWctoday did not step up, like I did Hull and paint job.

I thought the idea about the jr rider was great, but also wondered about the liability issue. Sad that you try to do something good for someone & then have to worry about getting kicked in the nuts for the good deed.

For what it's worth, I think the 3 way split is great. We are helping one of our own, helping a hero to us all, and helping a site that keeps us all together.

And Charlie, thank you for spearheading this & all of your hard work at getting it put together. Kudos :fing02:

If you start "giving back" to those who have "donated", then you have defeated your purpose. Sounds like donor's remorse to me. Like someone is saying I'll donate as long as there is something in it for me. Kinda takes away from the donation status in my opinion.
