Managed to get to work today after getting back home at 4:30am (non-stop from Pismo to TX). Had a great time. Got to know more westcoast riders (Erik, Jared, etc) and get to see some I already knew again (Derrek, osidecrew). It was a great time. I just need a vacation from my vacation.

My observations:
1. Sleeping in a tent on the beach for 4 nights is lame.
2. Luv-2-camp has a new customer in me next time.
3. My wife is glad I'm back in one piece this time.
4. Who told her there were strippers Sat night? I didn't see no strippers.
5. I learned to side-mount a B1 out of pure panic from an oncoming outside set.
6. The rip current will suck the water out from under you.
7. MattSmith gets my vote for most improved over last year!
8. LBE: super-nice, invisible, and rocks an FX-1 like nobody.
9. jetskier79: no fear in the water or on the beach. Biggest B1 roll ever, biggest b1 pancake ever. Glad I could help what I could. Thanks for the bars.
10. MikeSerlin: talks to everyone at a party. Most motivated rider. Heal quick, Mike!
11. Ross and Taylors heat was close. IMO, I thought Ross had it.
12. There should be two announcers, one for either rider. A little more excitement, like the guy announcing WORCS would be good.
13. WTF was with the 11:30-5:30 daily windstorm? Don't remember that from last year.
14. It was good to see JK out and about.
15. The CO-Tex (rmbc, Glory, skinnyman, onlyFX1, michael950, goddess, subsea) crew will bend backwards for anybody. You guys are great friends.
16. If you've got bewbies, you get free poles.
17. wydopen, thanks for the on-beach delivery!
18. All the Brazilians and Euros speak English perfect. Its crazy.

Last thoughts. The surf was freaking insane. Too intimadating for little ole me to hit only once a year. I'm going to have to move in with the osidecrew. Also, if I can go without a shower for week on the beach, I should be able to skip one before work everyday, eh?

And Christian, It's always a blast to camp with you. Thanks again for the round of drinks at Dinner Saturday night. Can't wait until the Co-Tex Crew gets together again!

It's tough to get back to real life.

Thanks to my dad for helping me out and getting a pic of the podium for sit down! I know it's sit down class but I was still happy to be up there!!

Is anyone missing a nice jacket? From the receipts found inside, it would appear to be from the Seattle, WA area.

ID correctly and I can ship it back to you.

Wow...
What a weekend.
My crew worked their asses off for three days. 5 cameras shooting for 3 days means I have hours and hours of footage to dig through. We had some OUTSTANDING interviews, I was hoping for more, but time just didn't allow and people were pre-occupied. For those who did interview, thank you so much, we got some powerful stuff. There is a lot of work ahead, but I feel like we accomplished what we went down there to do, now the next phase of the 4JK project begins.

This Pismo event has taken the place of the World Finals in Havasu for me, my year now revolves around it. I remember the sober parts and I think most of the drunken parts. Partied with the Fullgaz crew, saw my helmet worn by the world champion of the IFWA Freeride Tour, had a great time with Sicki driving my truck while my drunk ass filmed him. I'll think twice before I let Pete use my trailer's bathroom again, we had to wait at least a half hour before it was "all clear". I was interviewed by Watercraft World magazine about the 4JK project, they should have something on their site in the near future. I also took Jerry Brandon's beat to snot "shark" ski home along with Lisa's SXR to paint. It's going to be a busy winter.

Or HUGE trash bags full of gas! Warmed me up though, no complaints here. We're just lucky we have our eyebrows :veryhappy:
If you guy's were the ones doing that right behind me late at night, you were freeking me out bad...thought the tents were on fire.
