BlowStuffUp

Twinkle Toes
hes been doing those all throughout the tour this year. it looks like hes trying to bail and then at the last second he brings it all together and lands it. pierre goes out there and makes some of the best in the world look like they dont know what theyre doing.

I'm pissed I left the USB cord at my other house, so once I drive all the way across town, I can begin uploading images...I don't have much of the actual competition in the surf, but tons on the beach and boy are they great (if I do so say so myself).

Our judging staff did an outstanding job - being hoisted 50' in the air at the waterline in an industrial fork lift to twist in the winds for hours on end was not fun, but they pulled it off and I'm very grateful for their openess to sacraficing the skin on their faces to do so...LOL!

So, finaly tally of injuries:

Jerry Brandon shattered his ankle on a flat landed backey - not just broke, but shattered...surgery is pending, will update when I get more info. Trouper that he is, he refused to go to the hospital.....we wheeled him around the event site on a beach cart for the balance of the day while his foot swelled and turned all sorts of pretty colors.

Mike Serlin also flat landed a HUGE backey (quite possibly the biggest one all weekend) resulting in a compound fracture to the left tib/fib, and put his front teeth through his lower lip leaving a nice chunk of it for chumm in the surf. Also split his left brow open in 1/4 finals...Repair work leave him still looking like his gorgeous self.

And...

Jerry Jones went HUGE on this double overhead wave to BR and cased his chin on his handlebars resulting in a gnarly big knot and nasty bruise that looks exactly like his handlebars on his chin. While I'm so glad he didn't, I cannot believe he didn't break some teeth or his jaw on this one. Check it out:

Quick funny story....

So, on Sunday, right after the awards are over, the crowd is dispersing and I'm chatting up one of our illustrious judges. I see Pete waltz by and I say "Hey Pete, have you met Larry yet?".....Pete's all casual-like and takes a quick moment to do a drive by hand shake "Hey Larry, how's it going"....and starts to walk off.

I then look Pete right square in the eyes and say "That's Larry...Larry Rippenkroeger, Pete...you might want to have your bride snap a quick photo with he and you."

I thought Pete was going to shat himself...LOL!

Of course, Larry was his super-nice self - posed for the pic and spent some time conversing with Pancake.

Good times...

Considering all the injuries that are happening lately, I sure hope the "injured" have life, health and disability insurance coverage. It is a really good idea to look into this coverage if you don't already have it.

Life can be changed in an instant (blink)!!! Please, please cover yourself and the people that you love.

Here's to a quick recovery everyone - many good tidings.

Every rider should have this coverage . . . if you don't have any

- life
- health
- disability

coverage do yourself and your family a favor and look into it.

Ok, I'm off my :soapbox:

I have about 300 pictures I am uploading to Superjett for posting, he should be putting up a link soon. If anyone wants hi-res versions of any of the pics, or perhaps a cd burned just let me know.

I'd LOVE to have them...perhaps for use in our sponsorship package next year...or one of the follow-up articles the mags/local news media are doing? With photo credit to you of course!

PS: LMAO over your avatar Crab!

I bet I still don't have any pics on there! :shooter3: My parrents and wife were there, along with other friends, and no one had any pics of me. DOH!
I should be a spy, I AM the stealth, I can't be photographed.

Great to meet so many people there, It was hard trying to see everyone to say good bye, so; Farewell all, hope to see you all in Daytona.

I could so take this comment and run with it, but I don't think Eddie's girl would appreciate it ;)

Eddie, sorry I missed saying good bye, but I was a little pre-occupied with getting back to the hospital for Mike...you were on fire this weekend. Thanks so much for the show I SAW!
