In the last four years of riding at a higher level in the surf I've had no injuries other than minor bumps and bruises. Til last week. Then I got this little trophy.

Broke left fibula in half, just above the ankle, my ligament are still effed up and hurting years later. The left foot trapped in the tray twisted outward till it snapped. Boy, you know when a bone breaks! Lesson learned: Don't let go.

Lotsa bruises a few scratches. Back gets sore a lot. Tennis elbow flairs up from time to time.

Lotsa general soreness.

Hey, how do you know your heal is broken?

My right heal has been hurting for months.

Typically I just ignore pain like this, but this is like..., WTF, heal already.

What did they do or recomend for yours?

When I broke mine it split in half and a piece was sticking out about an inch around the ankle.

I did it in Aug '11 and I am still laid up.

Pinched nerve in my lower back that I attribute to years of snowmobiling and now jet skiing, but other than that just minor bruises. Although this year was really my first full season on a ski.

Broke my right shoulder in Feb this year. The doc said 6 months heal time. I didn't believe him, started lifting and riding again 3 months later. Then bruised the rotator cuff. Light riding and working out for another 3-4 months.

I am just now able feeling good and nearing back to the levels I was before the accident. You don't realize how sucky it is to break or injury yourself until you can't do everything you enjoy doing!

Listen to your doc peeps! Haha!

It may be just cracked. Injured heel interrupts your walking ability a lot. If its fractured, you most likely wont be able to walk normally. There are also a whole bunch of bones, tendons and ligaments that may be injured as well.

Now that I am reading, it might be a good idea you guys to post what should have been done to prevent the injuries you've had. If a new rider gets to that thread first he/she will run away lol...

don't try inverted tricks in knee deep water. Mine was a barrel roll re-entry to dirt. I need to learn to ride further out and not chase the little lipper waves close to shore.

Definitely going to tone it down a bit when I get back to riding since this injury really did nothing good for me financially.

I suffer from PF. It sucks. Hurts worse in the mornings. During the night the tendon on the underside of your foot draws up. When you go to get up in the morning and try and walk you feel the pain from the tightened up tendon. Before you get up stretch your feet. It took a long time for my pain to go away. Still flairs up some.
